I need help，on learning Urdu (in China, Beijing)

Hello, everyone, I've already registered more than six months, has not come in to do self-introduction, now for everyone to send a belated greeting ~

I come from China, Beijing live and work in, I started to pay attention to Pakistan in 2008, on the eve of the Olympics, the Chinese Internet is widely circulating a description of the history of relations between China and Pakistan in the article, reading the very moved, thus recognizing Pakistan, Since then after another concern news about Pakistan by Chinese media also have shopped during this forum, until this year, Sino-Pakistani relations to a new level once again, I feel that they should sign up for all of them exchange a ~

My ID, Development C & P, meaning that the common Development of China and Pakistan, It is saying that “Development is the cardinal principle”~

Although media coverage on their own knowledge by one of the English language is common in Pakistan, but because my English is very bad, can not achieve the level of dialogue by the English, probably I had conflict with the English language is one of the reasons Meihuahao, Urdu preceding that replaced English as the official language of Pakistan, it sprouted out of interest in learning this language.

By looking at the Chinese network, I found where Beijing and not taught Urdu or private teacher training, although there are other areas but must get the job at the local school.

So I come to ask for help, we know there is no one study or work in Beijing friend (student or working person can be), are willing to take some time each week to teach me to learn and master Urdu, learning plans and objectives:


study-time:

The three-year (2016.1 - 2019.1), the use of spare time.

Monday through Friday, one hour a day.

Saturday, Sunday, three hours a day.


The ultimate goal:

1, will be able to easily dialogue with the local people came to Pakistan when traveling.

2, can easily read Urdu articles (newspapers, magazines ......)

3, can easily understand Urdu programs (radio, television ......)

4, it is possible to Urdu for text writing (computer, paper ......)

In addition, I would like to pay for it, now considered about 2000 CNY per month (about 300+ USD; 32000+ PKR), although a small number, but hoping their lives in Beijing, or family far away in Pakistan have The Help.

Which friends know if in currently in Beijing, and have the ability and willing to teach me, introduced me trouble.

One way to learn another language is to start reading the newspapers and watch their TV shows. You can find Pakistani dramas on Youtube or dailymotion with English subs.

Watching any Pakistani show with subtitles will enable you to pick up a few words and phrases. Some people might argue that when learning a new language one should learn its curse words first. Or just learn urdu to him both are equally difficult so why not learn the desired one only?

Because Hindi has a systematic organization. Once you learn it or even understand the organization without rememberinf everything, it is easy to see Urdu alphabet as some additions and subtractions from Hindi. For examplea if Ka cha ta tha pa are in a single column in Hindi, phonetically there is a significance to this.

The intent of this thread is to learn Nastaliq script collaboratively to the point of reading(and optionally writing in it) comfortably. Our target test case will be to be able to read this news paper: Jang
Please note that reading(or writing) and understanding are two different things. For example most Urdu reading Indians can read Quran but cannot understand it. Hindi reading Indians can read Sanskrit but cannot understand it. Here we are focussed on only reading and writing the script. Since the test case is Urdu, Hindi speakers can understand it as well.

First some familiar basics. Nastaliq is a Persian word and the script is used for at least Urdu, Persian and Arabic. The script is written from right to left unlike any other script I know. I am choosing to learn Persian as script base for the following reasons:
1. One more new language to learn. Urdu vocabulary is basically Hindi
2. There are enough words I could understand so I won't feel like learning Arabic(or Greek or Latin)
3. From what I understand Arabic has more number of missing sounds and hence the danger of missing alphabets
4. Arabic is supposedly lazy vowelled language which means beginners will go crazy learning it. You wouldn't know the correct pronunciation just by looking at letters.

My assumptions will be obviously wrong. Some learned Urdu/Persian/Arabic people can always correct us in this thread.

BTW Urdu has more letters than Persian, but the deviations are few and we will note them when we study each related Persian letter.


Starting with Alef. The word Alphabet, the Arabic Alefabd both derive from the first two letters of alphabets. Obviously Alef is the first letter.

One solution: get into Chinese military. They have teaching courses for all languages in the world. That is one of the basic training for radio monitors.

Most welcome and advice for u dont learn hindi because they are almost same but URDU is complete language in terms of its litracy hindi is in bits and peaces and most words of hindi if you see they look like a streetish ascent in urdu you speak you speak in most proper and perfect manner

Thanks for the advice though I don't agree with your assessment of Urdu and Hindi. I hope you will visit our new thread and review our lessons regularly.
