This is the actual point. All people make fun of other people, but such things can't be aired on national TV.

People who grow up among Punjabis adopt their accent. Half of my relatives grew up in Punjab and adopted their accent. Punjabis, Pathans, Sindhis, Baloch etc who are born and raised in Karachi speak like Urdu speakers by 100%. You can't trace their ethnicity unless you meet their elders.

I used the allegory of 'Parachinar' to suggest that he probably belongs to the same sect. These people hate Pashtoons to the bone.. and in this particular poetry, this hatred is being depicted humour coated.

Sectarianism is not a new phenomenon which started before Eid in Parachinar.

Urdu is my mother tongue; besides I'm good at Urdu, I've read and heard loads of Urdu poets. This 3rd class jugat baaz, Syed Jawad Hassan, is not even funny. The language he's chosen for this so called poetry is nowhere literary but is colloquial.

Now this is exaggeration and an attempt to use flaming. Don't feed your beast of racism using this. Even Non-Pashtoons are defending Pashtoons here.

He must have some social media account, he has done many shows but there is nothing on him on internet. Then we can ask him about his sect and to stop pathan jokes and continue with butt and sheikh jokes.

Well you may keep searching. He's a Syed, then he's Jawad, and he's Hassan too. He's insulting Pashtoons also to show his hatred for Wahabis/Deobandis. As I said, I know them better than you know yourself.

I have studied their religious scripture, I know their 'history' more than they know it.

The Urdu poet is ridiculing Pashtuns on PTV, the mushaira was aired five days ago. He is calling them uncouth and dumb, smugglers, "bey-sura", unclean and stinky, Naswari etc. May be i have no sense of humour or i am not familiar with depth of poetry. So help me in this regard, is it humour or racism?

Lol i have always noticed that its only urdu speaking people from Sindh make jokes of pathans. I have many Urdu speaking friends and they always joke about pathans being Pedos, Ganja smokers, uncivilised and "gutter chaap"(thats an indian word). While punjabis always give respect to Pathans.

in kpk we are not limited to pashtun community. all pashtuns and hindko speaking journalists protested against this
this is about kpk and our self respect.
if an ordinary member of the forum or even citizens crack tasteless jokes on us we may laugh these off but a poet coming on national Tv getting away with filthhh means the entire ptv crew of that program has to be sacked.

I think its just the culture in India to be racist. Frankly its the reason why India is considered the most racist place in the world to live in.

Apart from Nationalists there is hardly any bad blood between different residents of the Land of Pakistan. The media hypes it and the people buy it.

The different political movement be it MQM or ANP or JSQM or BLA have exploited this and made it into profiting business in enjoying the influence es mass

I have many punjabi friends from pakistan as well, and they are porud of their pashtun brothers. Some even told me that punjab have pashtuns as well. I know one Niazi guy from Islamabad, he told me that hes an Afghan but native of Punjab lol.

What i wanted to say is, punjabis look up to Afghans while its only Urduspeakers wo hates afghans.
