If there is a 26/11 attack, the options that India will most likely consider is to give a green light & a heavy budget to Ajit Duval and to heat up the complete border, going after Pakistani positions across the entire length of the LC & even the IB using even heavy artillery.(ending the ceasefire). The idea would be to inflict immediate sharp pain to the PA and not waste time with the proxies. Sure the Pakistanis will retaliate but the economic gap will start telling reasonably quickly in what would be a battle of attrition since India could keep it up for a very long time. The fear about this option has always been whether such a move will severely damage PA's ability to control cross LC movements but that may be a risk one simply has to take. The option of allowing Pakistan to dictate the terms of escalation cannot be allowed to hold.

Well i dont think the response would be anything different..... May be little more tough messages across (i dono what way that is going to help as long as the state and non state actors and actresses work hands in gloves).....One different thing is the pressure on government is going to be less to that on MMS, as we have a PM who is supposed to be stronger, and supposed to be acting strong....

But difference is going to be, a tough diplomatic stance (togher than MMS) that is the sign i get from the new government..... And if there is something called covert capabilities that will be strengthened, if they dont have then steps would be taken to have such a capability....
