How Pakistan is being Gang Raped by: Politicians, Prostitutes and Terrorist Financing......

Nothing to do with Pakistan? Pakistan was close to experiencing a coup in 1951 at the hands of socialist army officers and politicians.
Blame your army officers then!!
I'm not blaming you or complaining. I'm defending Pakistan's policy in response to Soviet aggression in our country by highlighting Soviet subversion.
A part of you does. :)

Left-leaning intellectuals were arms of the Soviet Union and were used at every opportunity to further Soviet agenda. When their use was fulfilled, they were dumped in unmarked graves or tortured to death.
Here's an interview of a former KGB-agent, explaining how the Soviet Union perceived leftists.

Yes, I agree with you. Two points :
1. Everybody has his fair share here. As for the Americans, look into Bay of pigs invasion, Operation Gladio, My Lai killings, most recent Abu Omar case etc etc.. I can give you good leads there.

2. If you scratch their back, they will scratch yours. The newly formed state of Pakistan started in the wrong foot with the Soviets by allowing Americans to send spy planes from Pakistani airbases. Yes, the egg came before the hen in this case, quite clear. It became worse after Pakistan actively supported Americans against them. Now, you cannot point your finger at the effect and make it look like the cause. It does not work that way.

It's either Soviet propaganda or American at the end of the day. You think of Soviets to be evil because you subscribed to the American ideology. Had you been leaning towards Soviets, then you would have been calling the Americans evil, which as a matter of fact, many Pakistanis do nowadays.
Now, if you did not want to be in the receiving end, then you should have remained neutral all along, don't you think ?

Started off on a wrong foot? 1957 was when the Americans were given permission. We were close to facing a Soviet-backed dictatorship in 1951 and there were socialists causing all sorts of trouble in the countryside. No matter how pro-Soviet a democratic Pakistani government would be, Soviets prefer their own puppets in power. Pakistan did not try to get involved in the Cold War. It was the Soviets who tried to get involved in Pakistan.

If we were discussing what the Americans were doing, then I would focus on what they had been doing. Since we're talking about the Soviets, I'll be mentioning them. I have no love for either side. One good thing about the US is that it's finally begun admitting what it did by declassifying documents whereas we have to find the accounts of defected Soviet spies and retired 90-year old ex-KGB agents to have a glimpse of Soviet meddling in the sub-continent.

I do not know details of possible leftist coup in Pakistan in 1951. But what I think that if it really happened , Pakistan would have been much better position than today. Here are my points-
- Religious extremists could not gain their footholds. Todays mess could have been avoided
- Unlike Aid culture established by US, USSR might establish Heavy industries in Pak like India which might provide a base for an Industrialized Pakistan now. US Aid actually corrupted your leaderships and common people did not benefited out of it
- Probably there may not be animosity against India in the extent of today. Huge defense budget for both the countries may not be required if peace prevailed. This money can be channelized in social sectors
- Anyway you can surely come out of socialist path by default during 80s :)

That's an interesting thought.

Okay, what according to you is Pakistan's problem now ? Apart from terrorism/TTP etc.
