Coming extremely rich from a country whose SECULAR prime minister on record disregarded the Humanity when she clearly states it is not our problem to deal with Burmese. Please ! Officially speaking we have hosted far large number of refugees than you guys can ever imagine. So how about setting your house in order first.

That's a logically fallacious argument directed at the wrong person at the wrong thread. I DO NOT represent my country's gov or its ruling elites. I am not a nationalist and don't believe in nationalistic and ethnic BS and neither do i feel the urge to defend all wrongs of my country. My country is a dysfunctional secular shithole , and as such it won't treat refugees well. It doesn't even treat its own poor people well. My country is not a good example to follow.

Just take in the Afghans. We are sick and tired of foreign lecturing. We have hosted these people for decades. We don't have to be told by others what we need to do.

As I mentioned previously, an event which was ofc triggered by backlash, which was not isolated.
A series of unfortunate event occured and the law enforcement agencies had to step in to take care of the illegals. As Far as refugees plight is concerned, we already host about a million or so of them (Afghanis)

No ifs and buts. We all know how illegal Afghans are tied up and chased down with machetes in other lands. You know how they treat people who chase down illegal Afghans in certain European capitals? Like heroes! Pakistanis have destroyed their nation by turning a blind eye towards this enormous problem. Trying to reason and act sentimental won't resolve the problem. Illegal Afghans are an immense problem. They resort to terror activities, criminality and act innocent. It is time to protect our borders from infiltration. If other provinces apart from KPK and AJK feel that Afghans should stay in Pakistan they should take in the Afghans. KPK and AJK are overwhelmed by illegal Afghans and we cannot bear the burden anymore. We don't need any lecturing from other provinces on this matter. Other provinces should take in Afghans instead of cheap talking. Otherwise let KPK and AJK perform its duty by protecting its land and people from illegal Afghan invaders. Enough is enough.

Federal has also burdened our province with 2.5 million IDPs from FATA and is not taking responsibility for it, even though FATA is a federal territory.

Don't compare illegal Afghans with our own people. FATA is Pakistani territory whereas Afghanistan is not.

The reason Afghan refugees were/are roaming around every where in Pakistan, is because of corruption of Pakistani authorities.....Afghan refugees were not receiving aid from other countries to their tents in camps, so dispersed here and there to earn livelihood. I am actually surprised that some people here are calling Afghans as merely criminals etc, generally they out-paced locals in handwork and provoked the anger of locals by that. Some where i read that half of the shopkeepers in Peshawar are Afghans.

People expect that there should be zero percent criminals in refugee community, that they dont have the "right" to commit crime on their soil. So like any other community, there will be criminals in Afghan community, the poverty and homelessness increase the criminality more than normal for sure.....i am also hearing complaints about indulgence of those IDPs from FATA in crimes. Few do it, and locals blame the entire outsiders. Its natural. This @Dalit, is holding grudges or has one or two bad experience with Afghans and is now behaving like those Americans who blame entire Muslim community in their country. From what i have observed, those from Nowshera are not exactly best specimens among Pashtuns, they are "kacha".

Back in 90s , there were some Afghan refugee families in my village....but they shifted to other places , mostly to cities i guess or back to their own country. Some stayed in a towns of our district (which is sort of business hub), by obtain the citizenship of Pakistan illegal, and are big businessmen. Recently one of their sons got admission in Khyber medical college. Our desert district is dull area, so i assume they will be mostly found in urban centers where they can earn easily.

As an Afghan, you know nothing about IDPs or FATA. The only people that are expelled from Pakistan are illegal Afghans. Most of them appear uneducated to me. Those Afghans, with skills and high quality education, are sitting in the West and are refusing to return to their country (their younger generation born there dont even relate with their watan, its unfamiliar place for them). The ones here in Pakistan, running hotels and other businesses here, frequently go to Afghanistan and many have one leg in Pakistan and another leg in Afghanistan.

The situation in Afghanistan is very bad. It was already extremely backward before 1979, now has sunk even deeper due to four decades long war and devastation.

As an Afghan, you know nothing about IDPs or FATA. The only people that are expelled from Pakistan are illegal Afghans. My wife is from Chitral. Every year I go to this place in Pakistan I see more Afghans destroying this serene and beautiful place. Tens of thousands of illegal Afghans live here without any proper paperwork. Chitral borders with Afghanistan and Afghan Taliban cross bridges from Bumburet to terrorise the locals. Criminality is on the rise and people are fed up with Afghan presence. There are countless places in Pakistan that are filled with illegal Afghans. These aren't normal circumstances and we are lectured by a few to just accept this mockery. No one should accept the destruction of their society and region.

There were news about expelling Afghan refugees from Azad kashmir....what happened to that, government gave up?
