What's new

Hong Kong no.1 in World Competitiveness Rankings

first i never said dual citizenship. India has a concept of OCI (Overseas citizen of india) which is a PR like thing given to indian origin people.I already have a PR last 4 years or so.
second i dont have to explain why i am taking a citizenship and I am not miserable here unlike many. Ironically, i was convinced of taking this up by a colleague from PRC.
I live in a condo not HDB. I have never lived in one and dont ever intend to.
I am on shift work at NY hours and wrote that from home.
Tell me one instance where I have lied. If u prove I lied, I will not take up citizenship, if you cant then you have to apologize.

Finally about integrity.. i have never utilized any perks offered by singapore for PR .. ever. My child was born in a private hospital without any funds. I intend putting him in an international or Indian school. After citizenship I do not intend taking any subsidy for new hdb (I cant because of cooling measure but thats another story).
I have paid my taxes, i volunteer at some charity org for the blind, i give talks to college kids on the industry as my service. All this in return for being allowed to work here and not touching 1 cent of the state in terms of subsidy. Even my medical is thru my companys insurance.

slight correction, I dont look at PRC with awe, I look at them as "aawww.. poor thing".
I wil become CEO of a company i start. do you have a problem.

Yeah, we believe you since your stories were full of hot air and tall tales . LOLOL.

. . .
I dont have to boast about indians from india in sgp, because they look at us with awe. we are dominating their banks and it. come anyday to banks like citi or stanchart in sgp and see for yourself. CEO of DBS bank is indian (from india). sgp maybe majority han, but still we indians contribute a lot and we have a rule of law
In 3 months time when I get the sgp passport, you will have to get along with me because i will be sgpean.

Indian dominating our banks? LOLOL. The world top bank is OCBC, a 100% local owned bank whereas, DBS, another 100% local owned bank, is the SE Asia largest bank. Even banks from China/ hong kong has a much prominent presence than your ICIC here? What a pathetic loser! indian are dominating... Blah Blah...LOLOL.

so you cant prove i lied and you call me a liar. i think i should file for libel.

Yeah, go ahead and sue me. Please put all our discussion up in our local "Stomp" forum for debate so that we see who is going to be deprimanded later. Indian Liar!

CEO of DBS is Indian from India who recently took Spore citizenship otherwise he could take p the post.
I am not taking about local banks. in MNC banks like citi and stanC the population of indian is more than the proportion of indians in Spore. go to MBFC one day at lunch time and then write.

you still havent told why you are calling me liar. Even 1 justification is not forthcoming from you.

ANyways, I like Singapore and most of the Sporeans I met at work and outside. I intend to live here as a good honset citizen contributing to the country;s progress at the same time proud of my roots. Go in peace.

As a fellow Indian, I have a piece of advice for you......
Don't forget your root.....in a foreign country, you'll always be a foreigner.....

Even though you admire Singapore so much, I must tell you that the Singaporean member here is right.....they do look down upon Indians.......

Few years ago India placed Singapore's first satellite(X-SAT) into orbit successfully......and in response to that, they were ridiculing India in a Singaporean forum.........some of them were ridiculing about Indian poverty, some about Indian in-capabilities in the field of science and tech.......even some refused to believe that India launched their satellite despite their own Govt. confirming it.....

Though I understand that I cannot judge all Singaporeans based on such a minute incident.....but still that was the first impression about Singapore I had.....and people say that 'first impression is the last impression'

.
Don't agree with that, if your humble and modest you get more respect.

Chinese Singaporeans built Singapore from the ground, you are welcome to contribute and even make Singapore your home. But we are one community.

Respect is earned, defintely not by bragging. I bet that he would never understood you with the kind of character he had shown here.:fie:

You should first examine you own behaviour before pointing fingers at others so fast. If most of you guys were actually behaving in an appropriate manner, you should receive much helps/praises rather than plenty of criticisms/ mockings from us.

I agree that hey look down on indians, but always in life reality keeps shifting subtly and slowly but surely. When i came here 8 years ago, there was a camera shop in peninsula (opp Funan) which wouldnt even let indians in. THat is because of the profile of indians in singapore used to be local singaporeans who were basically descendents of workers and in general they are not doing too well and of blue collar workers from south india, who obviously were poor and not so well off.
But now since 2006 suddenly a lot of talent esp in financial services and people from all over india at executive levels of MNC have staarted coming in. WHat i clearly see now in varios places is profiling of indians by locals. THey are clearly able to differentiate between educated indians like me and the so called labour force. Although in an ideal world everyone should be treated equally, the prisms of the mind splits colours distinctly.
ALthough I did exaggerate , keeping in the spirit of the forum norms, locals are not reallly in awe but are learning that there are different Indias in Singapoer today.
I do realise that I will always be an outsider , but i have been here for 8 years more than a quarter of my life in Singapore but still i like it here and feel i owe it something just because of the time spent.

Starting to hallucinating again! With people like you who are only good at lying and bad mouthing others, you must be joking when you are telling us that you deserve any respect at all by us. We defintely have much more respect to spare on those hard working blue collar indian workers than people like you. Quite dreaming! you pathetic loser, nobody really like you. Stop dragging along your poor comrades to sink together with you too.

I never said Chinese SGP did not make Singapore. They are the major contributors and LKY family had the vision. But there are many many Indians who have contributed too and played invaluable support roles. eg NTUC was conceived by an indian origin person.
I have had a great experience here in SGP so far. I feel i have contributed ecnomically but i feel i havent emotionally given much thats why i try to volunteer but still something is missing i feel.

Fair enough, all races contribute in their own way to make Singapore what it is today. If not for that we will not have the different flavor that all races provide which give us what we have today. Best wishes on your journey here, I've also got a couple of Indian friends from south India also looking to make Singapore their home.

The picture of Hong Kong below is stunning...........
What are the lights atop the buildings for.........for aesthetics or do they have other purpose.....

you have still not been able to say where I have lied.
I am telling of my experiences in singapore and what I feel about the place. I like it but there is a very big under current of racism and locals used to think poorly of precisely these blue collar workers.
I see the respect I get in malls and restaurants compared to a few years ago. It happens respect follows money. THats sad but true.
I say things honestly and as they are .

"NSGP look down on PRC and HK people. I am not ditching india as i will also have indian OCI card (almost like dual citizenship). I am taking SGP citizenship
as only citizen can become ceo at many places. but anyways close to 10% of population is indian and sgp belongs as much to indians as locals. even the word SGP is from sanskrit.
Shanghai will never ever catch up to HK or SGP on per capita basis. just like china will never catch up to us on percapita" - Shelly

Tell me what kind of person would hijack other identity to launch such dispicable attacks at others, who is not even a true bred Singaporean but dragging us all singaporean along with him.

Yeah, you are worse than a liar, wanting to be part of us but yet deiberately casing harm to our society and at the same huringl disrespectful remarks at us (the country which host you for 8 years). But I guessed it is ok for you since you do not have much integrity or you won't be leeching on us and abandon your wonderful motherland so easily. LOLOL.
