for pak point of view.Russia does not believe in strip parties, casinos ,mauritius ,cayman islands.
People might have different point of view.

Russky are experts in (oil /gas , top notch sw/hw for aviation, space , car ,trucks automation,nano materials ,
power nuke engg etc etc yu just name it)
They just want to trade with south east Asia , Egypt, Africa and Indian ocean countries.
Russian never leave any project (failure ,delays) . They will always live upto their promise ,their commitment.

,mettalurgy , software hardware etc


I can say
Russia and China friendship is still strong and it is not affected by Indian

Yes indeed Russia was very interested to get there for quite a long time, they have even threatened Pakistan with an invasion if the latter objected to it.. this was around the time of the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan..
Now that they will get it peacefully and beneficially through CPEC, hope they are willing to pay some price like the SU-35 and some other valued items...

I think we have to connect Gawadar to Kashgar only, from there Chinese Railway can be utilized by Russia ....

That still is a longgggg distance. Unless Russians are looking to increase trade with Africa it might not be of big advantage to them. The have plenty of oil so that middle east connectivity wont be as charming for them either.

I am not sure how useful Gwadar is for Russia despite hearing about the news of warm water one of the key cause for Russia's intervention into Afghanistan.

Russia is too far from Pakistan and there are only few states of Russia which can really benefit from Gwadar. They are welcome to invest in Pakistan and be part of CPEC however the trade route of CPEC is economically not viable for Russia. They would have imported oil from middle east but they already have it in abundance so what exactly are they going to transport from Gwadar... not very much if nothing

There are many more commodities like leather coal etc open your mind
