Hindus in India Attack Muslims in Ashura Procession

To be honest, not particularly. I deal with your kind daily; they are the worst kind of oppressive caste monsters that it has been my misfortune to meet. It is impossible to shake you from your hatred of those you think are your lower castes, and I have no intention of trying. There is nothing else to your support of the BJP, speaking in generalisations, so there ends that matter.

Again you have gone back to caste.
I think you did the same couple of days back. What is with the secular obsession with Caste?

Let me use your logic Joe.
An OBC PM,
A Dalit President,
A Jain President for BJP - Those are the people I am supporting. Yet, I am the casteist one while the ones who are insulting an OBC, a Dalit and a Jain are NOT and are pro-minority.

Totally a different case.

Those who don't get out of their caste domination syndrome will invite progressively stronger measures. There are examples very close to your ancestral territory.

Not really.
Either caste or religion, you need dialogue. Or else the vicious hatred will continue.

I don't deny Caste politics of India but most Sanghis are Caste Agnostic. You really should do your research more Joe ;)

The mirror is looking fine. I am not my brother's keeper. You, bhakt-ji, are different; you are no brother, you are the other.

So, at the end of the day, a self proclaimed liberal proclaims rules are different for his brother and other.
Pai laagu sir Ji. :)

Intelligent, not smart.

You use your mental faculties to score facile victories, in the false illusion that those matter. You have no time to introspect, or to address your critical gaze inwards. You just coast through life with some shallow opinions, and mistake your prejudices for philosophically sound positions.

Generation gap I guess. We tend to use the word 'smart' for intelligent people who peddle their agenda. For example, Dr Kalam is intelligent. You on other hand were at one time intelligent, now you graduated to being smart.

I love the second paragraph. Probably describes 99.99999% of earth's population.
Yet, I am the one amongst the two of us willing to debate and exchange ideas whilst you 'wish me away'.

So Joe, does critical gaze ever go inwards?

In my line of work, we are regularly audited.

So, few years back, we had these external auditors come to our office from KPMG. They were given the best meeting hall to accommodate them during their stay.
The first thing this team does is taking few printouts and stick them outside the doors to the meeting room. These printouts read "In God We Trust, Rest, We Audit"

Most of the secular liberals will never pass the audit of their own secularism or liberalism.

Sickulars are saying Modi can be beaten in 2019. I wonder who they think can challenge him? Rahul, Kejriwal? Maybe a commie?

If you had attended classes regularly in school or in college, you would have known that in the Indian system, a party forms a majority and elects its leader. No leader is elected as Prime Minister. Modi got elected as an ordinary MP, and was then voted the leader of the party that had a majority. That is the form; whatever inner discussions the RSS had before is irrelevant.

As far as his replacement is concerned, if a country of 1.3 billion people cannot find a replacement for this thoroughly distorted person, we really ought to hand over the country to the Pakistanis to run.

Rhetoric in posts but with good communication skills. Extremist and a bit paranoid. Too old, too irrelevant. Move on.

Theoretical knowledge is different from Practical Realities.

What you are saying is theoretically correct but practically it was the face of Modi as the PM candidate which made BJP win the election

If you are thinking that a "faceless" opposition will be able to defeat a face in Modi then you are living in La La Land. Do you seriously think that a voter in Bikaner or Bellary will vote for an opposition MP hoping that he and atleast 271 others like him will elect a person to become the PM and defeat Modi and the communal Sanghis

We know what happened when Manmohan Singh was "elected" by the UPA MPs

In 2014 elections why was the entire Left Liberal establishment gunning for Modi if he was nothing more than a candidate from Varanasi and Vadodara?

It is true that theoretically a voter in Bangalore South voted for Ananth Kumar but practically she was voting for Modi

Is this what you Bhadraloks did in West Bengal? Couldn't find good enough people to run things in West Bengal so handed it over to Bangladeshis and ran to safe havens in other parts of India?

No, this is not what we did in West Bengal, and there we are all of us Bhadralok, except elements like you that we consider Chhotolok. AFAIK, all the members of the West Bengal Cabinet are Indian citizens. If the government had been a BJP government, you could have sent the police to ask each of us to prove our Indian citizenship. But it isn't so your cheap slanders will remain that - cheap slanders. Not inappropriate.

Jaichand Where Art Thou?

Your hatred is so much that you would rather let Pakistanis run India than let Modi be PM if you cant find an alternative among the Bunch of louts you call secular

When some people 'dangle' their caste feelings in my face and in everyone else's face, do you expect us not to notice, or to politely ignore it? Personally, I ignore it until some gasbag comes in and spreads his brand of fatuity all over the place, at which point I politely point out what they themselves do to wreck the country.

Your support for the OBC PM, the Dalit President and the Jain Party President is merely support for the trophy exceptions that your favoured party has acquired so assiduously. It even has Muslims. And we needn't be reminded about what it does to Muslims.

Not really.

Don't worry about my research; it is well-founded. Worry about your own regressive social attitudes.

So, at the end of the day, a self proclaimed liberal proclaims rules are different for his brother and other.

Oh, you can always ask a Moderator. Try HRK or Eagle or Horus; they will slavishly follow your slightest wishes.

Generation gap I guess. We tend to use the word 'smart' for intelligent people who peddle their agenda. For example, Dr Kalam is intelligent. You on other hand were at one time intelligent, now you graduated to being smart.

I am happy to stay intelligent; intelligent enough not to fail to find arguments of my own, and not to be reduced to taking arguments against me, and twisting them - smartly - to your temporary and shallow purposes. I leave the graduating to being smart to you; it is not an eminence to which I aspire.

I love the second paragraph. Probably describes 99.99999% of earth's population.

Given the majoritarian, hostile to individuals and civic liberties hating mindset of your favoured party, this false illusion should delight you. Aren't you feeling happy?

Yet, I am the one amongst the two of us willing to debate and exchange ideas whilst you 'wish me away'.

Just proves the point.

You came out with a smart answer, not an intelligent one. An intelligent one would have picked out the description in the passage, and realised the difference between debate and constantly repeating your fixed prejudices, thinking that repeating these amounted to presenting your case.

So Joe, does critical gaze ever go inwards?

All the time, actually; that is one of the features distinguishing the intelligent from the smart.

Agreed sir. Good to see people who belive in secularism are still active.

I as a young Indian, still have faith in Secular Nature and people of this great country who have no beef in political stunts. Lets see what our future have for us.

"Unity in diversity"
I was a hardcore secular 6 years before. I believed in equality. I used to respect every religion, still I do...but....

Then I read a religious book and understood it. Then I lost faith in secularism. I still have faith in people , but not in ideology they carry.
Bcz secularism is not one sided affair.

Note:- The day Muslims will start believing in equality and learn respect for other religion , I will be secular again.

Most secular liberal audits don't get that far. There is too much shit from the other side floating around; surviving that degree of bigotry and hostility to get to audit ourselves is tough.
