It may sound impossible but it is true that the Indian Minorities Commission held a meeting to discuss the demand for Hindus to be given minority status in seven states and one Union Territory. These states are Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Lakshadweep, Mizoram, Nagaland, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh and Manipur. As per the 2011 Census, Hindus comprise only 2.5% in Lakshadweep where Muslims make up 96.58% of the population. In north eastern states, Hindus are 2.7% in Mizoram, 8.75% in Nagaland, 11.53% in Meghalaya of the total population. In other states like J&K, Hindus are 28.44% while the figure is at 38.40 in Sikh dominated Punjab. Those demanding minority status claim Hindus are unable to take advantage of government schemes for minorities. On an average, the central government gives technical education scholarships to nearly 20,000 minorities annually but Hindus are denied this benefit in these eight states.
Population Explosion of Muslims In India
Muslim population is growing more than twice as that of Hindus in India. BJP and Modi are Panicking and hence the controversial citizen law.
State after state Hindus are turning into a minority. The next state to come is Kerala, where Muslims and Christians are going to surpass the Hindu majority. The census of 2021 will show a sharp rise in Muslim population.
Sikkim,Assam,Goa and Jharkhand are next in a few decades.
Ironically the SC of India has dismissed the Hindus plea for a minority status.

Another good read in the article below.

If we take the lower caste Hindus into equation and if they start demanding more rights and equal status, then i think India is in real trouble.
