well modi is not a dalit.....thank you

Actually he belongs the the EBC (Extremely Backward Castes)
Will Narendra Modi assert his extremely backward caste identity?

PATNA: Just how BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi would showcase his extremely backward caste (EBC) identity in his delivery at the Sunday's Hoonkar Rally, billed to be Bihar's political amphitheatre, would be keenly watched and observed by the concerned.

Modi, perhaps the only OBC to take a real shot at power in Delhi, has so far refrained from making overt references to his OBC background. He just touched upon it while addressing the rally at Jhansi on Friday. The reluctance could be because of Sangh Parivar's frustration about the divisions which keep them from forging a Hindu vote bank.

The restraint could be tested in Bihar where the extremely backward castes have emerged as a powerful constituency. A category comprising backwards other than the dominant "triveni" of Yadavs, Kurmis and Koeris, they account for almost 1/5th of the electorate. Recently empowered, thanks to a number of measures taken by Nitish government, chiefly reservation for them in panchayats and local bodies, the support of almost all the artisan castes was one of the main factors behind NDA's political domination.

Nitish's confidence that the EBCs will stay faithful to him was one of the main reasons why he felt emboldened to split from the BJP.

BJP strategists feel the party can poach on the EBC constituency. The saffron party has traditionally drawn support from among the myriad castes which are part of the EBC coalition. It boasts of prominent EBC faces in its ranks.

However, the saffron camp's hope of making a bold raid on Nitish's "core" constituency largely stems from the calculation that it can cash in on Modi's EBC background.

Modi is a 'Ghanhi teli', a community which has a pan-Bihar presence and which when banded with other trading communities - Suris, Kalwars, Sonars, Kesarwanis, Kanus and Halwais, among others, form a sizeable category. But BJP feels that the appeal of Modi as an EBC leader stretches far beyond the various bania groups.

It will be interesting to watch whether BJP's PM candidate, smarting under the rebuffs from Nitish, tries to dent the latter's hold over the EBCs by invoking his caste background at the Hoonkar Rally. He will have to balance the temptation of taking the battle to Nitish's EBC backyard by ensuring that his appeal as the Hindutva strongman remains intact, an imperative considering the enthusiasm for him among the upper castes.

Otherwise, the Bihar BJP leaders, in their district-level Vishwasghat rallies and meetings held for the last over one month as part of campaign and build up to the Sunday rally, did not shy away from referring to his EBC origin and identity.

Incidentally, in Bihar, RJD chief Lalu Prasad had forged a "rainbow coalition" in the early 1990s. It comprised backward caste groups, EBCs, Muslims and big chunk of dalits outside the ambit of Left parties.

The difference is that he does not wear his caste on his sleeve. His mantra is Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas

Hindus aspire for Hindu Raj in India
Technically India is the only place they can aspire to have a Hindu Raj because it's a Hindu majority country but then it's not politically correct.

Most of the ministers in current government are also Hindus so technically it's a Hindu Raj and it will remain so...:victory::victory:
