England is the land of English. Muslims and Hindus are outsiders even if naturalized. Beef, Pork are their habits. Why should they care for non-English? The Vegetarianism of North Indians are hard and overbearing. They tries to enforce this wherever they go.

My experience with north Indians including Punjabis are just opposite. They are vegetarians and these people who claims to be meat/fish eaters are not even taking daily meat/fish unlike Kerala. You can find North Indian tourists searching for veggie hotels/jain hotels in Munnar and such places. Instead of appreciating local cuisine which includes Beef curries which are meticulously prepared they are pretty orthodox and backward in their hyper religious lives trying to follow their food habits even in non-Hindi territories.

Thats completely different , Jains and bhramins are forever forbidden to eat meat as part of their religious practice. Bhramins can't eat meat since they need to do pooja everyday .

Hindus don't eat meat when there is a festival, doing pooja or entering a holy place .

What's wrong with that? People want to goto restaurants that suits them , if you hate sushi you don't go to a sushi bar and ask ice cream .

This comming from first hand experience, I've sat next to people eating dogs. I didn't enjoy the experience.
