Description
Anti Armour Bomb, branded HIJARA is an effective, reliable and combat proven weapon system of IDS. It has been designed to destroy tanks and armoured vehicles. Also known as TSD-1 (Top Attack Sub Munitions Dispenser), it is a piercing Cluster Bomb Unit similar to Rock Eye-Il. The weapon has been designedior use with contemporary bomb rack configurations.
The bomb consists of 247 dart shaped bomblets contained in a dispenser, and can be carried by any aircraft capable of carrying 500 pounders with no special pilot training. The bomblets spread over an area of 2,500 sq meters and detonate on impact. Shaped warhead charge in the bomblets causes disabling damage to armour and soft targets.
