The Nanjing-Hangzhou and Hangzhou-Ningbo high-speed railway lines had integration testing on Mar 28, with a top speed of 389 km per hour recorded, Xinhua News Agency reported.

The two lines, which span about 398 km in Zhejiang and Jiangsu provinces, were the first two high-speed railway lines tested after China Railway Corp was established on March 17 to take over the commercial functions of the former Ministry of Railways.

They are the ninth and 10th high-speed railway lines in the Yangtze River Delta region.

The travel time from Nanjing to Hangzhou will be shortened to about an hour. Passengers traveling from Nanjing to Hangzhou will not need to travel to Shanghai first, and the trip will cost less. The travel time from Hangzhou to Ningbo will be shortened from two hours to less than 40 minutes.

^^ just different color. these are modified Japanese (Shinkansen) trains most made by CSR.

We must appreciate the efforts taken by China to grow HSR network. They are true no-1 in this domain.

Why is the train different. New model?

The yellow-painted is a testing train which performs integrity test over and through the entire length of an operational line each day before the normal services start。

Chongqing-Lichuan HSR to complete by the end of 2013:

Today China's development looks like 70-80s Japan developing, all of us r in the "high-speed line".
My hometown also looks huge different with last five years, here except local ppl everything changes too too fast, a medium-sized city(NanChang city) they starting to dig 1st subway this year and future plan three.

Love how it looks like an airport.

Love how it looks like an airport.
In China, most new train stations looks like the airport, or better than airport. Specially a medium-sized or big-sized city usually has more than one train station, a old bad-looking station and another new beautiful train station. Recently each city built some new good-looking stations.
