Hezbollah Urges US-Led Coalition to Stop Blockade of Daesh Convoy

Deal is deal. Those who cry about Isis losing territory in exchange of being transported to Isis occupied lands (to be killed later), are the actual Isis supporters.

The convoy left the Lebanon-Syria border region on Monday, but Hezbollah said six of the buses remained in Syrian government-held territory.
Lebanon's Hezbollah movement on Saturday accused US-led forces of stranding a convoy of Daesh fighters and civilians headed for Syria's Deir Ezzor province under an evacuation deal.

The convoy carrying hundreds of Daesh fighters as well as civilians was meant to travel from the Lebanon-Syria border to militants-held territory in eastern Syria under a deal Hezbollah helped broker.

But the US-led coalition has pounded the road to Deir Ezzor with air strikes to prevent the convoy reaching the Daesh-held town of Albukamal on the Iraqi border.

Hezbollah, which has defended the deal to remove Daesh fighters from the Lebanese frontier, said US-led forces had effectively stranded most of the convoy's 17 buses in the Syrian desert, beyond government reach. "They are also preventing anyone from reaching them even to provide humanitarian assistance to families, the sick and wounded and the elderly," the Hezbollah statement said.

The convoy left the Lebanon-Syria border region on Monday, but Hezbollah said six of the buses remained in Syrian government-held territory.

The deal, brokered by Hezbollah with the support of its Syrian regime ally after a week-long offensive against Daesh, has been fiercely criticised by US-led forces and the Iraqi government. The international coalition fighting Daesh has said it is unacceptable for militants to be transported to the border with Iraq, where pro-government forces this week ousted the extremist group from the northern city of Tal Afar.

In a statement overnight, the coalition said it had sent a message to Damascus through Syria's ally Russia to say that "the Coalition will not condone Daesh fighters moving further east to the Iraqi border."

"The Coalition values human life and has offered suggestions on a course of action to save the women and children from any further suffering as a result of the Syrian regime's agreement," it added, without providing further details.

The coalition said it would not strike the convoy, but acknowledged hitting Daesh fighters and vehicles "seeking to facilitate the movement of Daesh fighters to the border area of our Iraqi partners." Hezbollah accused US forces of hypocrisy, saying they had previously allowed Desh fighters to flee territories in Iraq.

Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi has described the deal as "unacceptable" and an "insult to the Iraqi people".

No it's not ok, Hezbollah and SAA are giving hundreds of IS rats free passage through their lands towards Iraq.

If this is ok then how would they like it if Iraq makes deal for IS to evacuate a couple thousand IS terrorists from Hawijah towards Syrian land, Hezbollah and the SAA would like it?

Are they letting 300 terrorists evacuate so that they can receive some dead bodies, do they understand this evacuation will cause more dead bodies. Or is it ok when it's of another country. The PMU has sacrificed too many people for Syria whilst they did nothing for us against IS, except send us some more.

SAA and Hezbollah have become too used to making these buses/evacuation deals/truces, now they even do it with IS. They should clear the areas militarily instead. This does not aid forging a stronger military alliance and only aids the pro-US military camp side in Iraq, there was no need for this deal as IS is being defeated.

And we all know iran openly supports Hezbollah. It doesn't take a genius to connect that iran is (and has always been) supporting ISIS
C'mon Sakra- If Iran was supporting ISIS then why did ISIS do the deadly strikes in Tehran some months ago? why attack your "patron"?

They were fighting isis and actually were successful till isis stop fighting .. it's not ok to fight people whom have surrounded and stopped fighting ... Hezbollah and Lebanon army negotiated which resulted in that evacuation .. they got lands and location of Lebanese soldiers bodies beside some Lebanese soldiers alive ...

Should've flattened the convoy with the IS women too in the name of equality. We're talking relatives of IS this time, not kidnapped people. As for the US air force they didn't do much either, they could've flattened that convoy. It looks like every side has developed some soft spot for IS, especially IS women who are always given a free ticket out of being with IS voluntarily.

The deal was that the terrorists move to a place in Syria, not Iraq. So even if they are 1 km from Iraqi border, they're still in Syria. They let the 300 go to another location which is already occupied by ISIS (no lands will be given for free to isis).
In exchange ISIS lost territory, and no Lebanese or Syrians were killed fighting them in that place. By this deal Syrian army can concentrate better on attacking isis in eastern Syria instead of fighting them on multiple fronts.

ISIS is not a local problem, but a regional problem. Don't get me wrong but instead of celebrating that ISIS again lost some territory (before being totally eliminated soon) some figures are making egoistic comments like if their soldiers blood is more sacred than Lebanese or Syrian lifes.

they stop fighting What is the different btw us and isis scums if we don't honor our promises? .. flattering convoy of women and children? to show what ?you are stronk? and no one has developed some soft spot for IS ... they are losing badly right now in Deriol Zor and Homs and once these parts are done there would be more manpower in Eastern parts of Syria ...

Hadi Al Ameri objects to the deal, Abadi objects to the deal.

Nevertheless the SAA and ISF will soon shake each others hands on the border, looking forward to that.
