What's new

Here's what I don't get. If they want to speak Ukrainian, why don't they go to Ukraine?

And that there is the crux of your ignorant commentary. Maybe if you knew or tried to read some history. You know do some real research and analysis before opening your ignorant mouth. Then maybe you would understand.

THE DONBASS HAS ALWAYS BEEN RUSSIA. ALWAYS. THAT WILL NEVER CHANGE. NEVER EVER EVER. NATO LIED TO THESE POOR FASCISTS.

Also just for shits and giggles, research the history of the Ukrainian language. That might educte you a little on whats really going on.

I am a natural born Ukrainian btw. And I know just how much of a made up country it really is. It was basically " created " by Russia. Without Russia it would never even exist. And without Russians in the South East, it would be exctly where it is today. Bankrupt and falling apart with neo nazi fascists from Galicia and Poland finishing off whats left of it.

so then I do not understnd

as far as I know, russian language has been(and still is) spoken more then native ukrainian in eastern ukraine.
According to statistics from the company "Google" the maximum number of requests in the Ukrainian language accounted at Rivne region (Western Ukraine) - 29%. At the Donetsk region - 1,6%. In my home region (Nikolaiv region) - 12%.
That is, the majority of the urban population of Ukraine is Russian-speaking. Even in spite of 23 years of forced Ukrainization.
