Have urdu dailies made changes to the script?

Can anyone tell me if pakistan dailies made modifications in their script ? The new script is very learner friendly. I can easily read the sub titles in urdu on coke stidio songs now. But i went through some online websites like jang that are still using old method of writing.

I will give an example of what i want to put across.

بکچھا ..you see this is the new method..the stress on cha is indicated in a diffremt way in old method..similarly لڑکی ..that i symbol used to be a bit different..i used to run away just by looking at that old script..why cant pakistani dailies adopt these modifications.

I even request teachers to adopt these modifications. It makes learning urdu script so simple.

I have a small question..from where did these changes come? Is it to adapt
to computers ?

Computer-based fonts and print fonts are different.

The ones used for printing are closer to the actual ones.
