Has Bangladesh wiped out the Wahhabi menace?

.
Really? Seems like some people failed to take history lessons properly and learn from it. Islam is the reason Bangladesh exist.

Muslim societies with high level of ethnic homogeneity and a solid base of nationalism aren't as prone to Wahhabism as tribal and multi-ethnic societies like Afghanistan and EVEN Indonesia.
Muslim countries with high influence of non-muslim ideologies like hinduism are highly prone to sufism and it's south asian cousin barelwism, both are the biggest fitna of our time...

Seems like hating Islam is a very fashionable trend!

Anyways, they can keep doing their stuff...

People of course feel more affinity for their own geographical area. Bangladesh is a very small country and practically all bengalis are same ethnic group!

Its waaay bigger possibility that Pakistan or India erupt in massive internal clash.
What a stupid statement.

Why do u have trials in places like Modipur forest...I know Bangladesh well and have travelled there a lot. More than most bengalis.

Hahaha so you know more about Bangladesh because you have travelled there. While we who were born there, lived there, have daily interaction with the society, knows nothing.

Are you aware how dumb it sounds. Its ridiculous.

While its true that such countries are more prone to syncretic practices but that itsnt correlated to practice of sufism.

It has to do with how Bengal became muslim. Bangladesh in contrast to Pakistan was not conqoured by any Caliphate. While Bengal was conqoured by Bakhtiar Kilji, like in Indonesia, Islam came through trade and missionaries, most of them were Sufis. It grew organically from there.

You can be born there and never leave your town...I know many many bengali who have never ever been outside their immediate areas.. being born there doesn't mean you know the place.

You are a kid that likes to argue. Carry on. Enjoy

Unlike Pakistan Bangladesh is not a feudal society.

Unlike India Bangladesh is not a caste ridden society.

Unlike India and Pakistan -Bangladesh is not a multi ethnic society.

Bangladesh has a less wealth divide between rich and poor to boot.

Classic Ingredients for ethnic strife does not exist!
We better do not compare BD affairs with the affairs of other countries especially Pakistan.

Better, we concentrate in our own affairs. Hurling stones at Pakistan does not help our own internal rifts.

Bangladesh will erupt in communal violence. It is just a matter of time. The stark divide between the haves and the have nots compounded by polarised political and religious affiliations will result in a massive blowout.

It is on watch list of next conflict zone before the decade draws to a close.
I would disagree

As bananarepublicuk said
We are neither a cast based nor a feudal society, on top our commercial sector is not dominated by armed forces unlike pakistan. Our economy is open and anyone with ability has the oppertunity to make it big.

This is what I see one major factor made difference between pakistan and bangladesh economic progress.

In bangladesh the people you are economically successful at present not necessarily belong to a family with rich heritage. If we look look at our largest conglomerates or garments owners majority had humble beginnings. They have been competitive and no barriers of belongingness to any specific group. I even personally know people from bihari background with successful large businesses.

The superwealthy in bangladesh today may have been the hungry back in 70s or 80s. And as people can see it is hard work and dedication that can bring economic sucess not being born into any specific family liniage this creates optimism not divide. Bangladesh has brought out millions out of extreme poverty and facilitates somewhat opportunities to everyone, not saying it is perfect but better compair to others. We have a very homogeneous population and do not have conflicts in the name of race or sect which is a blessing itself.

On the other hand what i have read and found it pakistan is there is a big
influence of large landowning families,Large joint families in Pakistan may possess hundreds or even thousands of acres of land, while making little or no direct contribution to agricultural production, which is handled by peasants or tenants who live at subsistence level. Landlord power may be based on control over local people through debt bondage passed down generation after generation, and power over the distribution of water, fertilisers, tractor permits and agricultural credit, which in turn gives them influence over the revenue, police and judicial administration of local government. This is what Bangladesh do not have. Our farmers are poor and have small lans but not enslaved by feudal lords. The picture is the opposite as we have successful politicians, businessowner burrocrats came from farming families. One o

You should read about one of our central bank govornor Atiur Rahman. He became our 10th central bank govornor an if you read his biography you will see his father was a landless farmer.

So in bangladesh anyone has the opportunity to make it big if they work hard unlike pakistan where it opportunity is not there for the unfortunate.

Another thing is our private sector has no influence of our army. I have found pakistans the army, that owns everything in the country, from factories and bakeries to farmland and golf courses. Also read how they have crushed compitition from regular businesses.

So the fear is not there for conflict because of the economic differences as somewhat equal opportunity is provided atleast in economic grounds. We still have a long way to go but doing a lot better than others.

If it weren't for PDF, i don't think people would talk about Bangladesh.
The whole world is talking about banglades's economic prgress. Where were you?

There was a time when it seemed that BD will become a failed state. However, exceptional leadership of Hasina madam navigated and rescued BD from difficult time and put BD on the path of progress. Khalida zia would have sunk BD.

The Wahhabis posed an existential threat to Bangladesh like the BJP on India.

Whilst the BJP is the enemy from within.

The Wahhabis are an export from the playboys of the Saudi nomadic family.

Luckily the Iron Lady took power and used the RAB to wipe them out.

Now the Wahhabi masters Uncle Sam wants to take revenge on the RAB!!!

The Saudi nomads are behind the sanctions on the RAB!!!

The BangaBandhobi sent a clear message by renaming our national airport after the Sufi son of Sylhet.

Bangladesh needs the RAB and it needs the Iron Lady.
You are conveniently blaming others for misdeeds committed inside Bangladesh.

Now, do not please blame America when SA is replacing Wahabis with Indian Ramayana and Mahabharat. Watch the video and search yourself the related news.

Wahhabism has theologiacal roots from the Hanbali school and were never present in Bangladesh, but critics have sometimes leveled anyone speaking against shrines and pir worshipers wahabi. I have no doubts under all four schools of sunni islam there is any place for saint warship or music has been made allowed as a form of warship.

We are all muslim and madhabs mean the teachings or the school of thoughs of the four great imams. Curse on to the people who makes fabrication to pollute their teachings give it their name. There is no place for anyone who worships other than Allah in islam.

And declare, “The truth has come and falsehood has vanished. Indeed, falsehood is bound to vanish.”
Quran 17:81

Sufi saints were the first people to bring islam in our lands, but there has been a movement to reduce the bidah or fabrication that were previously present. Proper form of islam that is has no place for pir or wali warship is having a stronghold.

If you research you will find in islamic waz is taking over concerts and plays in bangladesh draging millions of audiences. This has angered the small group of athist artists and intellectuals who are losing their income.

The majority of current bangladeshi scholars and speakers are against shrines and tombs. Apart from a few namely Gias uddin Taheri who became a joke in media. Visiting of shrines and tombs are on decline and there has been huge criticism of those shrines hosting people of different faiths and prevalence of drugs there.

Technology is playing a big role here, everyone is now exposed to the truth now. Bidah will perish soon and pirs who promise jannah will go on hiding.

Yes, those savage Noakhaillas and Borishaillas are gonna tear each other apart and then chase Chitaingas. All Sylhetis would flee to London.
