Both consume some type of dish with raw meat. Both have simple written languages that contain only a few dozen characters, much too few for an Asian race. Both their countries are elongated landmasses, lie right next to the ocean, and look like a J or S. Both have really terrible ethics, when it comes to doing business, etc. IMO Japan, Vietnam, and India should form a political pact together. They say that likes attract likes. China has extreme poverty levels. I hope one day China achieves the same living standard that Japan enjoys.

Extreme poverty are set to be eradicated by 2020, just a couple of years left. Matching Western or Japanese living standards per capita wise won't happen soon due to the huge size of the population. But that's not something we have to worry about. China's economy is set to return back to being the biggest, that's the important part. As long growth keeps floating between 5-7% for many years to come, things are gonna improve faster.
