Though this would not be liked by most.

IAF should go for the Swiss aircraft till the time they would require to replace it with some newer one.

In the same time HAL should get the ones they are currently developing developed for civilian purpose. HAL would get the experience and would be ready for the next generation training aircraft IAF or future pilots would require. The costs would also be reduced.

HAL need some real spanking . Bloody hell every thing is been delayed . Govt bmust go ahead with Swiss trainers whi is need of the hour. So our pilots gets full training with safety for their life . Human life is more important than making in India. If Hal develop its own trainer which is set for first flight next year which will be cheaper as claimed They can go for export orders . But pushing it's delayed trainer in to IAF throat is not good at all . By the way sure indian airforce needs are more than what it is mentioned above. No time to waste . Leason: If you delay ok see you bye bye. We can bring in another player with tot and make them in India .

When HTT 40 will be inducted ? 2017/18 ? Till then should IAF put our future Ace pilots life at risk ? HAL need some real competition locally . what are greater achieve ent of IAF compare to china or pak during war. They fly cheaper in their aukat jets.
