Gulfstream G-450 for Pakistan.

Are these tiny aircraft safe to travel distance from Pakistan to Washington , these planes bob around with little wind gust ... can't image traveling in them over oceans

In some ways the plane is small to dignitaries were less , so less cost no doubt for travel

However it can also be viewed as intentionally inviting on small plane so not too many unnecessary people will tag along :P

Executive jets are designed for comfort and therefore very stable during the flight. I have had a chance to travel in a Lear-Jet from London to Geneva a few years back. The passage was extremely smooth and you barely noticed the taking off & landing. Understand Gulf Stream’s range is 4,000 miles, thus can safely cross the Atlantic without refuelling.

Philosophy behind the private jet travel is that ‘Executive Time’ is precious therefore the transport/ airplane waits for the executives’ convenience. Travel cost is of secondary importance.

Understand one can pick up a decent used executive jet for about $10-million.

These tiny planes are used alot in North America generally find them very uncomfortable , noisy and lacking entertainment however , the particular plane had a luxry interior

But the planes that are flown in North America are really like Mini Bus in Pakistan

I was thinking it is a fighter aircraft but it is a passenger aeroplane

It might be a purchase for the Army.Since there isnt a dedicated transport for their higher ranks unlike the PAF's G-IVs and Phenom-100s
There are about 10 VIP aircraft all together in Paf service. And it is there responsibility to transport army/government /and air force officials.
Navy has its own to transport its officials.

buddy, with all due respect, you have no clue what you're talking about.
These private jets are the most comfortable aircraft you can ever fly in.
First of all, they fly at 40,000 ft, way above commercial traffic. Second, the cabin is pressurised to much lower altitude 4-5000 ft as compare to 8000ft on a commercial jet.
Higher the cabin altitude, less oxygen you get and as a result fatigue level increases.

And about safety, they are most safest means of transportation as they don't get abused as much as a normal commercial aircraft

oh and did i mention they usually tend to fly faster?

Yaaar ALLAH KA wasta rahem karo mulk pa u can travel through regular flight why buy fleet of 4 vip jets just for vip person aik taraf pesa nahe ha aur ayashi us ka presidant se bhi ziyada ha

PAF ke pas sirf 2 Gulfstream hain. 1 GIV-SP, and the other G450

This case may be a issue of "get me my own ride".

FL400 is standard for a lot of wide body commercial airliners when they are en-route long haul, and half way through have burnt enough fuel that they can go that high. So a B777/A380/A330/A340 etc also fly at 40,000 ft.
Some executive jets can do 50,000ft......but FL400 is norm for widebodies.

Their cabin is pressurized at 8000ft above sea pressure level, but the new B787 has it at 6000ft as well, along with the new A350

Faster is relative, since most fly subsonic anyway.

1960s Concorde would beat the shyt out of these puny exec jets in speed or altitude. :P

but FL400 is norm for widebodies.

The norm it is not

The only aircraft you will regularly see top 40k are the A380, A330, and Boeing 788. The reason these aircraft feature so prominently at those altitudes is because they have relatively lower wing loadings.

Occasionally, towards the end of a sector or on a domestic, a 767, 777, A340 or B747 may get up there.

FL350 is the norm for most airliners, some can go up higher, but not many.
And for Gulfstream specifically, it pressurizes to 6000 ft. And the air is recycled every two minutes. 787 and the new 350 are both composite aircraft so yes they can do that easily. G450 is still made from aluminum alloys. There aren't many airplanes which can match Gulfstreams specs.

I wish they would bring back the concorde! They can add those F135 engines from F-35, it would become a rocket!
