I am totally dependent on youtube. For me youtube is like a teacher, ban should be lifted.
ISLAMABAD:
The government is ‘keen’ to bring back YouTube to the people, State Minister for Education Baleeghur Rehman said on Tuesday.
Acknowledging that a large repository of educational materials are available on the popular video-sharing website, which has been inaccessible in Pakistan since September 2012, the minister said that the government was serious in trying to restore access to the website.
The minister was addressing a town hall session on Media Information Literacy, organised by media development organisation Agahi, in collaboration with the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO).

It is fine to have an opinion why the anger/ sarcasm?
And boycotting is the best silent answer one can give to show disagreement with too much freedom to do any amount of shit!
True it may not be the absolute answer but it can work....Better than violence!
It would be more appropriate if we do counter attack by blocking such content. They will not prevent from doing it even if we ban the whole internet. Already our nation has very less access to this facility and the entire world has gone online from education to banking, e-commerce and so on. We are already behind as compare to other developing nations. So banning internet is not a right solution at all. As I said, we should promote IT & technology so that such incidents can be handled by replying them in an appropriate manner. We can't afford to live in a stone age anymore.

Proxy is the only option.I feel sorry for students in Pak, imagine a science, math or Engineering student. They will be hugely disadvantaged by not having this as a tool of learning.
Proxy is the only option.
What else we can do?I can understand, but it shouldn't have to be the only option.
It is just an option of whatelse could be done instead of banning youtube....pata nai konsay moron hain jo mashuray daytay hain ...But yeah, sure, boycotting is better than silence, an even better option is to let it go, don't watch it unless you don't want to, and throw away youtube and it's vast, vast wealth of info.
I agree....Take for example the millions of tutorials on learning on youtube. You can't find them anywhere else, you know how many uni kids I've met that watch hundreds of youtube videos/tutorials related to their course? You throw away ALL of that for the sake of one stupid video that you are neither compelled to watch or like?
This is definition of irrational and stupid behaviour.
Tell that to the morons who put the ban in the first place!ban should be lifted.
