Hear your own information minister. Now its out in the open why IK and his advisers said there is a need to renegotiate on CPEC. Only Power Plants and Orange Line Metro have been setup till now under CPEC and for all those projects NAB investigation has been ordered.

I don't think it is corruption. No body was ready to invest in Pakistan except the Chinese and therefore they had an upper hand while negotiating the contracts. Hence they got what they asked for i.e higher tariffs which results in higher returns on their investment. This is the exact reason the deal between shanghai electric and Karachi power company is still stuck. Now there were calls for renegotiation of these contracts when IK came to power, but the Chinese were not happy. Now after the By election results they order a NAB inquiry into all CPEC power plants and OLMT. Things are very clear. Btw, the chinese were singing praises for Shahbaz calling it Shabhaz speed. Lets call a spade a spade. Its time.
