What's new

Govt finally publishes list of 10,789 Razakars

Tauba, tauba, astagfirullah, nauzubillah min zalik.
May Allah Rabbul Alamin accept your tauba. Amin!

Hindu Razakar. :undecided:
And one additional information , just read in, "the daily jugantor" that there are 6 female razakar from Barisal in this list, and 5 of them are Hindu.

Never knew that Bangladeshi Hindus are so in love with Pakistan.

Here is the link!

what's the point of all this?
Bangladesh should be preparing to become a colony of "illegal" Indians as tens of millions of Indians will be sent there very soon.

Right now they should be spending all their time and effort building infrastructure for the arrival of all those Indians.

Whole Hasina family family got financial assistance from Pakistan. Including Pak Army defecetor Muktijoddha families like Ziaur Rahman. And Buddhijibis. The Razakars will be wiped out for taking stance for their country. Its like Bangladeshis will be dealt later for taking stand against invading force. After this who will defend BD. Seems like Hindus wont give Bengali Muslims a place not in India, neither in BD. Karma bites hard the treacherous people.
If they were truly involved in raping, murdering, and other such crimes then surely they should be punished...be it razakar or anyone else. However if they were fighting to keep their country united(East Pakistan at that time) then there's nothing wrong with that...yeah it's a different and exactly opposite ideology of those who wanted to secede but it shows loyalty. Loyalty to their country to the extent that they were willing to put their lives on the line in that war for what they thought was best for their country. Such loyalty should not be punished.

Can you kindly translate it for me.

"Those who love each other a lot, they spend all day counting Tasbih beads for them only..."

Bengali proverb...

Exactly! No one is asking for punishment for anyone who was just loyal to Pakistan.Even Sheikh Mujib ordered a general pardon for these people during his tenure as PM of Bangladesh.
But those opportunistic sob who took advantage of the situation to kill, rape, loot & torture, they must be punished to the highest extent of law, no matter how old he is or what party he's member of.

That is perfectly fine...however it should've happened right away when it was easier to prove. Many of the witnesses would've been alive...victims might've been alive...evidence would've been easier to gather when the crime was fresh(relatively). It's much harder after 48 years to try and find proof...things can get murky. If the police/courts/etc. can find proof still then by all means...but I think this is more of a way to get rid of political rivals. If someone did commit rape/murder/etc...in 1971 they would've been 18-20 years of age roughly (im taking into account the lower boundary). Anyone younger than 18 can try to get away citing "being a minor" at the time the crime was committed(don't exactly know BD law but I'm assuming bcuz that's how it works in much of the world).

18+48 = 66...at 66 years how much life they got ahead of them anyways(considering the average male lifespan of BD)...like 4 more years? And if they were older than 18 then even less so. If these cases go through the normal justice system(and not fast tracked)...then the lawyers can easily drag this on...until the accused is pretty much on his deathbed. So I don't really see the point in delivering justice to the victims now...it's too little too late.

The essance of this thread isnt based on their purported crimes. For that already a kangaroo court is in place where any elderly men can based on any alleged crimes. Be that true or just to clean the opposition. In my understanding a society has good, bad or neutral face. In the 1971 war a bad unruly face prevailed. What remained for the good is history. These guys were just assisting to maintaining law and order in the country. But publishing these lists have long term consequences, like framing the opposition or blocking the way for the offsprings of razakars in the country. Razakar is a very much negative portrayal in BD. Next step the civil servants or Armed forces people who were working for Pakistan and later transfered to BD divisions. Going up and up whoever did politics for Pakistan movements or held positions in Pakistan parliament. This way slowly routing up all best and best Muslim Khandans of Bengal. Thats why I said in a previous post. Seems like Hindus wont give place to Bengali Muslims, neighter in India nor in BD.
