Google earth did not exist but satellite images does exist.

Hi,
What he meant by the time was season like monsoon or summer for that matter
That I dont know. Google earth only gives year not date. But I have checked for many rivers. Water levels have not changed by much. But for Indus it has reduced drastically.

Hi,
Cannot be verified, since river flows are very vulnerable to local seasons

. . . .
Rivers in India are not as per images. I will try to get date too.
They do not take images at the same time or even at same frequency? Is there any way to check for Indus river in India's side?

The Islamabad Airport you have posted is the old airport which is in downtown area of the city amidst congested suburbs with zero room for expansion. In fact it was a airforce base from the Brirish era that has struggled to meet the needs of PAF and civilian traffic. PAF Hercules fleets is based there and I have seen them on take off.

The new airport being built ( almost complete ) is on greenfield site about 10 miles west of Islamabad near the junction of M1 and M2 motorways ( linking Peshawar and Lahore respectively ) and is due to be opened soon. There was talk of naming it Gandhara International but we will see what happens. Please see Google image 2015 below

As regards Indus the image proves nothing. The flow rate varies enormously over the year and thus without comparing like with like ( seasons ) comparison is worthless. Daming Indus in the Ladakh region is not going to have any major effect downsream in Pakistan unless your so thirsty you plan to drink all the reservoir. Simply put where would the water go? There are mountains everywhere and the river is trapped in a rim of mile high mountains. The other rivers like Chenab etc can be diverted.
