not interested in Amazon we need our own and we should have our own.
these american companies have no business ethics and are tool for US black mailing.

I agree 100% Pakistan needs it's own Amazon , if not then use Ali Baba

Can we not make random ignorance filled comments on a subject we do not understand?

am all for Amazon allowing our sellers to sell their products globally. I am not too keen on Amazon setting up shop as an eComm player in Pakistan.

Though I agree with where you guys are going I also think there's some misconceptions here.

Pakistani's were always able to buy and have goods delivered to Pakistan via the Amazon.com portal so that hasn't changed.

The problem was that our people weren't allowed to sell anything on Amazon.com so those few who really took the initiative to try were then forced to register via other countries who would collect the taxes and other benefits of our peoples labour while Pakistan got nothing.

I personally agree with you that Pakistani's are far better off creating their own brands and websites then utilizing payment processors like EasyPaisa to process domestic and international transactions.

Unfortunately most aren't going to be able to do that so this could be a great alternative to start Pakistani entrepreneurs on that journey allowing them to generate profits they could re-invest into a business that brands locally manufactured goods.

My personal view is that the bigger hurdle Pakistani's are going to face is the lack of cheap, reliable shipping options out of the country.

For example I wanted to brand a locally manufactured product from Pakistan which was individually customized to the client but shipping was so expensive that it was impossible to drop ship out of the country and remain competitive.

Initially you'll find that most Pakistani entrepreneurs are going to go this route, drop shipping, because they can't afford the initial capital outlay to buy in bulk, stock goods in US and other foreign nation warehouses and then pay for the advertising necessary to sell those goods.

Afterwards people can take the profits they generate from their Amazon businesses and purchase locally branded products to ship abroad to warehouses in the US or anywhere else globally and pay for the advertising necessary to sell them.
