What's new

Global Firepower placed Pakistan as 10th most powerful country on earth - 2021 .

Why is India number 4 when it received beatings from 2 nuclear powers in February 2019 and June 2020 respectively?

. .
Why is Israel so low?
This website only compares raw numbers.
Not technology, not morale, not quality of people, not training. Pure numbers.

Israel has proven countless times it can defeat countries many times its size, some of these countries are higher than Israel in this list. That doesn't mean they're stronger.

I do think they take account of technology though, morale/ppl quality cant b counted...

Israel is pretty strong though definitely above turkey/pakistan

They don't, otherwise North Korea for example would be far lower in that list.

I think such lists aren't an accurate representation of who's stronger, as some armies can be better optimized to fight a land invasion, while others are better optimized for a naval or an aerial one. Some are more defense-oriented and some are more attack-oriented, some are more mechanized while others are more dependent on aerial transports, and who can say what is one is better than the other? It all depends on the scenario and who's against who.

How would we fare against Turkey or Pakistan? Pakistan is pretty much irrelevant, they're too far away to fight in any significant manner (conventionally, god forbid a nuclear war).

Turkey is another story. First of all, if a war/skirmish would occur, I would count on Turkey initiating it and being the offensive one.

Ground combat is pretty much out of the question because we're too far away and entering deep into Syria would be a nightmare, for that reason any war would be pretty much undecisive (In terms of an existential threat, unless Israel chooses to go nuclear, which I don't believe we will)

I believe we have a major aerial offense and defense advantage. They have a naval advantage.
Israel will stick to its shores and any Turkish ship incoming would be first and foremost in danger due to Israeli jets and submarines. Israel will never send ships near Turkish coastlines because it would be a suicide as well.

Israel built its air defenses to fight off Iranian and Hezbollah ballistic and cruise missile capabilities, I believe it will be able to handle Turkish missile waves. I don't know if Turkey can do the same, Russian air defenses haven't proven themselves capable of completing their tasks (Israel still bombs Syria regularly, sometimes 5 kilometers away from S-400 and S-300 batteries, Israel and Turkey bombed over a dozen Pantsir missile systems, US cruise missile strikes etc)

Most of the war would be comprised of air skirmishes, Israeli F-35s would have a massive advantage due to its ambush capabilities, also Israeli pilots are the most experienced in the world.

Overall, pointless war with pointless casualties on both sides.

War against Turkey seems farfetched but in case this happens, I think Turkey will definitely deploy thr land assets under cover of S400 near Israeli border and start air raids with Stand off weapons long and attrition based scenario will be in Turkey's favor,
On other hand Israel would probably want swift and massive air raids to take down all air assets and SAM and stop any land aggression.

Technology edge which Israel has will lose its effectiveness in air attrition war unless Israel take care of S400 early...

What do u say can Israel fck up S400 systems with in a week or so?

A week? Id give them 3 days max. Israel id def put ahead of Turkey. With Pakistan though idk it would be 50-50. Would be very hard to compare the 2 in a direct conflict.

Reason being I cant see any Israeli troops in our neighborhood. But I can see Crazy Pakistanis rushing to jordan, syria, etc to fight. Maybe its a moral thing? Pakistanis are far more anti israel than israelis are anti pakistani I guess...

Well, whether its based on facts or not. Anyhow, Pakistan is progressing well upwards in Fire power according to this organization.

I agree the war is to far fetched but to think Israel has any out-worldly chance is absolutely idiotic.

Just look at the geo-location of Israel and how tiny it is. If Tel aviv is levelled and if one incursion happens it is allover. Once close quarter engagement happens it is the beginning of the end.

Smaller countries in the region can overcome Israel despite it's air force and that is where it only has edge but it can be easily reversed and take it out of the occasion.

A very weak country and 3 part parition like Syria that has gone thru a decade of war could still overrun Israel militarily.

Israel is overrated when it comes to military cause people are still thinking this is the 50s or 60s

As the S-400 is based in Syria, I'm sure Israel has plans to deal with it.
The F-35 is perfectly suited to deal with such threats. Israel doesn't share any border with Turkey. There won't be any land aggression, whatever Turkey can get through Syria is no threat to Israel.

Israel had a war of attrition with Egypt for years, a much closer Egypt.

Overall I doubt the effectiveness of the S-400, I believe Israel is able to take it out, like Israel did in operation Mole Cricket 19 to Syrian SAMs.

You're delusional bro.

You can't level Tel Aviv conventionally. Not even with 100% accuracy, you overestimate conventional weapons strength. People like you think Iran is going to win because of its ballistic missiles, and you're wrong for that, conventional ballistic missiles could never match a sorty of 4 F-15s bombing a city with GPS guided 1000kg bombs.

Leave aside Turkey, you think Syria can overrun Israel? We bomb them on a weekly basis.

Israel is not a military threat in the middle east and haven't been viewed as such for decades. Israel is a tiny strip. A quick blitzkrieg incursion could end Israel.

I just don't think the Israelis have the hustle and can tough such situation. In fact a quick incursion could lead to them surrendering from a militarily point of view if caught by surprise.

They don't have the population nor the military edge that is claimed times change and new doctrines always evolve that the Israelis may have not even seen themselves. It's just how the world grows and constantly evolving.

As far as Israel goes much smaller nations in the region could overrun them if there is political intention to do so but the main deterence lays beyond Israel and never was Israel herself.

I agree this is deluded no ballistic missiles can end a city but I still agree with him overall that Israel military capabilities is extremely overstated in this time and age but if it was 4-5 decades ago I would have agreed but not in the current times

None of that is true. Israel took on Egypt, syria, iraq, jordan and gave them all a pounding multiple times. Even today Israel dominates the middle east militarilly and has projected its power on an almost weekly basis. You are def smoking some good stuff...

Mossad is excellent, they will know an invasion is being planned. Israel can mobilise extremely fast due to its tiny size, and inflict massive damage on an enemy country in a short amount of time before uncle sam comes to the rescue. Similar to India's army being quite impotent (see:2001-2002) due to the fact that Pakistan can mobilise thrice as fast, outnumber Indians at the border, and inflict massive casualties on them as they sluggishly mobilise.

Attempting to rapidly mobilise large amounts of troops faster than Pakistan will paralyse India (see: Op. Brasstacks) as they simply don't have the infrastructure (Indian roads are worse than Pakistan's) and are vunerable to artillery/missiles while moving.
