Global famine;the outcome of policies of global powers
The picture of an innocent sobbing due to hunger and a lusty vulture waiting for the innocent to become a prey for him.has it become the story of the past?
The worst famine of Sumalia although has become a story of past but unfortunately mankind is still a prey to death and hunger.one million in the world have no food at all.It means that every sixth man is a prey to the hunger and these figures are rocketing up every day.
Including Pakistan the worst condition of food security is the major problem.Collectively 65% of the victims of hunger belong to the india, china Pakistan,Congo Bangladesh and Indonesia.70%children of the world are suffering from bad health and malnutrition.Every six second a child dies due to dearth and hunger. In India more than 30 crore people belong to the middle class and in the next ten years more than 40 crore people will also get included in this class.
This is a bitter situation but in coming years we have to face these worst circumstances. After the worst economical and food crisis finally in 2009 global nations thought of some practical steps regarding food security.some year in Italy in a summit of G 8 leaders promised to provide 22 million dollors to assure the supply of food and food and agriculture development but there is still much more to do.
The irony is that an agriculture based country Pakistan is also a victim to this danger.Pakistan cannot only produce edibles but can also export to the world.Pakistan is 5th greater country in production of cotton. in production of wheat is 3rd major country in Asia.
The nutshell f the above figures and discussion is that these worst conditions are an outcome of global war against terror. The so called super power America wants to hold all resource rich countries but is still unsuccessful. The Nato countries and super power should realize that instead of becoming resource rich they are rushing towards a black hole.So the war against hunger should be started instead of a war against humanity.

"For decades, we have taken the wrong approach to feeding the world. In many poor countries, investment in agriculture has focused on a limited range of export crops. Too little has been done to support smallholders, who produce food for their local communities. Yet, by supporting these poor farmers, we could enable them to move out of poverty, and enable local food production to meet local needs".

So please right the wrong and start supporting initiatives that are already working with local farmers promoting local rich in nutrient food production. Less talk more action is the need of the hour!!!!!
