Although I doubt the veracity of this news, even if it was true, it would be chump change for the services rendered by Trump. He is pulling US out of the Paris Climate Agreement, thereby giving a new lease of life to the Saudis.

He has also, without any change in ground realities, decided to roll back normalization of relations with Iran. House of Saud saw that as an existential threat. So from their perspective this is a really small price for buying their own survival.

King Salman and Hasina are developing there states whereas that Alawite scum ruined his. I don't see any logic in this comparison.

Saudi Arabia is rich due to its (levelheaded) leadership, foreign policy and ability to extract its resources for economic gains.

Others are starving because they did not get their priorities straight.

And Saudi Arabia have a leadership structure (and culture) that works best for that state.

The Alawite scum is not as fortunate as salman and hasina because people had the means to resist his despotic rule. On the other hand, salman and hasina are lucky because uncle sam and its minions have arranged things for them so that people don't get to overthrow these despots. All of them are despots. That is the common trait of these rulers. Development is an essential aspect of every state. It will happen no matter who is in power. Even Germany had huge development in Germany until the Second World War but that does not mean the German state or Hitler was democratic. This is the age of democracy. Gone are the days when sultans and emperors could spend a dollar for the public and in return claimed the entire state as his personal property. The state cannot be a personal property, get that in your head.
