She grew up in the East, she was member of communist young pioneers. No wonder she holds a love romance with communist leader Xi Jingping.
But as said, she will retire when the new parliament is elected. Germany needs a new leader with charisma and spine.

Hitler helped China against Japan in WW2, until 1941-- that was 4 years into the Sino-Japanese war.
I think @Song Hong was referring to when Nazi Germany recognized Manchukuo and Wang Jingwei's puppet government, which was in 1941.No, German and Chinese cooperation went from early 1930s until 1937. German got China natural resources like rare earth materials. Nationalists Chinese got weapons and training. But with the raise of anti-communism sentiment in Germany, they drew closer to Japan. By 1938, German and Nationalist Chinese cooperations fell to nill as cooperation with Japan increased. The countries that backed the nationalists Chinese during the second Sino-Japanese War before WW2 was the Soviet Union, the US, and Great Britain. The SU backed the Nationalists because Imperial Japan was a rival to the SU and so if Imperial Japan had won, then the SU would have a more powerful Japan on its eastern side. The British supported the Nationalists Chinese with the supply route called the Burma road. Imperial Japan had sought Great Britain to close the road but only getting 3 months of closure. When Japan invaded South East Asia, cutting off the Burma road supply route was a primary goal. Had such a supply route not existed, than Japan would have no reason to go into Burma. Perhaps even respecting British holdings in Malayasia and Singapore. The US supported the Nationlists Chinese with financial aid in the forms of lines of credit. Then the flrmation of the "flying tigers". And the condition of "leave all of China" after the US put the oil embargo on Japan.
Germany did nearly nothing in favor of the Nationalists Chinese post 1937.

Our men fought to the last bullets before surrender while PLA troops cowardly surrender when falling into ambushes when still had lots of bullets to keep fighting.PLA captured 2000 of them but never humiliated our opponent, 200ish PLA surrender and they took that photo for million guys like him in Vietnam to feel good.

According to an "online poll carried out by London-base Redfield & Wilton Strategies" another opinion making echochamber for anti-China propaganda "on May 7" during the height of Anglo American disinformation propaganda campaigns about China
Not all things Japan did were bad.
Vietnam regained territory and independent from France.
Japan eliminated China as the long term strategic threat.
As today I am for military buildup of both Germany and Japan.
I told folks, Europe is under great depression due to USA initiatives on China.
Yes and No. Not 10 percent.Japan and Germany pretend to be pussycat today, and manage to bluff most people.
It is impossible for Japan to counterweight China once China modernized. Japan is 10% of China in terms of population and everything.
NonsenseI told folks, Europe is under great depression due to USA initiatives on China.
The problem is, Europe doesn't have certain technologies, and I think China can solve these problems through cyber links pretty easy.
I mean, USA is on wrong track.
