GE finally gets LCA engine order

there are rumours that it would have nt 98kn bt 120kn thrust?
is it true or only a rumour?

The GE 414 will be the same engine that the F18SH will use as well, only for single engine fighters, but with the sam 98kN AB thrust, which is also in use in Gripen NG today.
The 120kN would only be possible with the EPE upgrade, which is not funded yet and since the GE engines for LCA are just meant to be a cost-effective stopgap, India won't fund the upgrade.

I have heard the India may look into such applications for the Kaveri too! So they can connect 2 of the most delayed projects in history- the Arjen and Kaveri for spectacularly delayed results. LOLZ!
