Documenting undocumented economy and rebasing GDP are 2 different things.

India already rebased GDP not long ago so next one is probably 5 years away. I calculated 2021-22 GDP of Rs66 trillion with current exchange rate of 176.

We rebased in 2015 I guess so 3 years from now we’ll also rebase, which may or may not be considered soon.

Nope. Artificial overvaluation of Rs does not make gdp in dollars much higher. Eventually currency has to be devalued to avert the crisis caused by overvalued exchange rate and the gdp in dollars comes back to reality

On a very conservative measure the undocumented Pakistani economy is another $150 to $200 billion so the total economy is at least $500 billion.

Bro the figure is for FY 2021 not for the current ongoing FY 2022.

We can not sustain that number for this FY because of global commodity inflation cycle while maintaining CAD at manageable level ( there is a substantial increase in exports and remittances but it is no where near).

I'm rebasing, one of the objective is always to bring those sectors to GDP which are hidden till that time. So I guess that's also included.

By asking to bringing dollar to Pkr to 140 I didn't meant to sell reserves in market but to increase dollar inflows/exports and decrease dollar outflow/exports. This will ultimately bring down PKR to this range.

Documentation of Economy is not the job of PBS, they just collect the data of sectors recorded and registered already.

But PBS can help FBR in this right. ? I think there is a need of intra-department work.
