We are looking at F-4s not RF-4s ...

I dont know where RF-4 came up from, probably stupid journalism once again but we still are talking from exact same planes.

Edit: just googled it RF-4 are the recon version of F-4 so basically the same.

Yeah, those are good but old planes, ours had Terminator upgrade but still not enough, 6 pilots died recently in those, retiring them should have happened long time ago, F-35 are gonna replace them.

100 F-35s as replacement for 16 F-4s.

Edit: wrong info, those with Terminator upgrade are gonna continue their service.

WTF that much smoke IRAN needs to upgrade its Airforce thats for sure keep the JFT program in sight IRANIANS maybe block 2 or block 3 could add some muscle to you retired air fleets...

RD-33 engines are known to be powerful but smokey .

i remember reading an article from the only person who has piloted Mig-29A and F-16D. he actually complemented the engine for being powerful .

it has its downsides too : massive IR signature , high fuel consumption .
