What would be the future of Karachi, after new planned coastal cities would arrive? Like, Gwadar and some more Port Cities in Makran coast and also making Thatta and Badin a port city too.

Kuch ni hoga ... Karachi is and will remain "Legend"

No effect on karachi port and karachi till 2020 but afterwards their will be little effect on it which will be negligible to karachi's growing economy. karachi is a big city with high multinational/national manufacturing plants.

Pakistan should design and develop self sustaining cities with modern architecture and improving the infrastructure of the current cities.

all past Corrupt governments were against development of new coastal cites. It was Musharraf and now army helping develop Gwadar.

Pakistan must to develop new coastal cities, like Jiwani, Pasni, Ormara, Sonmiani, and proposed city of Zulfiqarbad near Shah bunder by PPP government.

Karachi would breath a sigh of relief. Anyone from Karachi realizes that currently Karachi is being crushed under its weight. It has become too big to handle. The pressures on the infrastructure are making it very difficult to handle.

The string of new coastal cities (IF they can actually relieve the pressure on Karachi) will be the best thing to happen to Karachi after the cleansing operation by the Rangers.

It will actually be a good thing as it will take a lot of load off Karachi. Karachi population is just too high and with ailing infrastructure, it will not be able to handle anymore population growth.

Having multiple coastal cities with new infrastructure will not only reduce the weight on Karachi but also be able to provide quality life and jobs to the masses.

Also in times or war, it will make it harder for the enemy to block the trading routes of the country.

karachi will become better. new cities close by will take the load off karachi.

Keep day dreaming.
hahaha i would love to see that. Imagine what a sight it would be Altaf Hussain's mujra in his Indian National Dress of Chaddi n Banyan and Gen Raheel pouring money on him. Just like it happens in punjab wedding these days with shemales:rofl:

As a Karachite I would welcome more coastal cities all along our coastline. I have lived in Karachi for about I would say two decades, yet there are places/areas within city limits that I have never visited or known that they exist. Karachi desperately needs a relief with huge influx of people coming from all parts of Pakistan.
Strategically speaking, putting all eggs in one basket, we are handing the enemy states a trump card over us. Take Karachi out in asymmetric warfare, which has been happening in last two decades, or worst case scenario, in a nuke strike and rest of Pakistan will come to its knees due to the financial centrality of Karachi.
I sincerely hope gawadar transform itself into another Dubai. On lighter note, whole of Pakistan comes to Karachi to enjoy the sea and sand. Its a pathetic state of affairs when the nation of 200 million got access to only one coastal city. Lets face it, Karachi beaches are sh|t as compared to the ones in Sindh and Baluchistan.
