Fury at India Mars mission

INDIA is sending a £60million space probe to orbit Mars — while Britain hands the country £300million-a-year in aid.
Proud prime minister Manmohan Singh boasted in New Delhi yesterday: “This is a huge step for us in science and technology.”
But Tory MP Philip Davies said it was “ridiculous” that British taxpayers’ money was still going to India.
He called for the aid to be axed, saying: “The sooner we stop this ridiculous expense, the better.
“If the Indians can afford to send high-tech missions into space, they can afford to look after their own.” The unmanned probe is expected to be launched as early as November 2013.
Three years ago, India landed an unmanned craft on the Moon and there are plans for a manned mission in 2016.
Earlier this year, finance minister Pranab Mukherjee dismissed Britain’s foreign aid donations as “peanuts”.
Despite India’s space spending, many people live in dire poverty and child malnutrition is rife.

Whats this connection between aid and mission to Mars ?

Aid from UK goes to the poor people (Minister's pockets ) while the money for Mars mission comes from funds meant for Space programs.

Just because a country is getting aid does not mean that it should abandon its space programs.

British govt. needs to do a press release ... explaining to British people that this aid to given to predominately christian NGOs who support british and as well as vaticans agenda in india in shield of humanitarian work ... no penny goes to indian govt. ... and indian govt. has already told to stop this so called aid ...

Indian population is starving to death, no clean drinking water, power outages, massive corruption, one of the lowest literacy rates, high child mortality rates, etc and the Indian regime is launching nuclear weapons, missiles, moon mission and mars mission and importing billions worth of weapons while running up the deficit and debt, all the while inflation is sky high and the currency is collapsing.

Good to see Indian regime has their priorities sorted out.

Just shows the Indian regime couldn't care less about its people, and just wants global fame.
