From where did pakistani christians came and why they clean streets and tiolets in pak?

I wanted to know about the pakistani christians , im curious .
From did they came ? And why they do the work of cleaning tiolets or streets , dont they get any other job or they r not that educated? Or feel fear to be on high pozitions?

And why is their skin tone different than us ? Whats their race ?

They certainly look differant as a group. It's obvious they migrated from India at some point in the recent past with the British. I think @Talwar e Pakistan might know more or was it @Saveghenda?

^^ the migrants from india are called muhajirs and they are at the top of pakistans society, not the bottom.

My guess is they are lower caste converts, just like majority of the christians in india

They are descendents of Mussalis/Marasis who are forest aboriginals from the Southern forests.Kudos

These are migrants who came with the British. The Mohajirs are entirely another group who came in 1947. And if you were to place these Christians I would bet on Odisha, Jharkand area of India or the general Dalit community in India.

I know the lower income groups in Pakistan. While they can look slightly differant but overall they are not conspicious from the general population. These Christians are like your Odishans or what you lot call SC or Tribals. Thanks be hand of god they make about 0.1% of the population stock but in India they probably exceed 25%.

The lower the status , generally darker the skin tone however when it comes to Marasis and Mussalis, they are in a league of their own, very flat nosed and I kid you not sometimes darker than Africans, many look like Australian aboriginals, simple people who sell bangles, beat drums at wedding and cut meat etc.Kudos

Yes in India we have a lot more of them than Pakistan. In Pakistani they make about 2-3% of the population not 0.1%, the figure your said. Over all lower caste population of Pakistan is around 10 Million. Which is 5% of Pakistan's total population. In India its about 20-25%.

I don't know about their origins but I wish that these jobs can be reduced through good town planning, adequate sewerage facilities, awareness among to not throw things into the sewer system that can get stuck. Also automation and robotic can free up humans from the dirty work.

By the this is wrong to claim that all Pakistani christians are the same. Many of them are white and many of them serve at high positions in bureaucracy and armed forces (especially in PAF like group captain Cecil Ch., Sultan Hali) of Pakistan. christians who came from India came from Goa and certainly not the toilet cleaners as the OP suggests. cyril almaida who became famous in Dawn news leaks is a Goan christian

the christians in Pakistan come from Punjab region like muhammad yusuf, there arnt many christians in sindh, many christians identify themselves as Punjabi people, so to think they came from india is very falsified view

mostly underprivileged people who couldnt afford living were baptised by christian missionaries with their convant funding or something who regularly visit india and pakistan and were converted as christians
