From the Ottomans to modern day Turkey (video)

This is actually part 3 of a documentary about the Ottoman empire. I advise you to watch all the parts, but why i wanted to share this particular part is because it shows how Turkey was founded from the ashes of the Ottoman empire and you can understand how the modern society of Turkey is shaped.

The most intresting part is how Turkey is searching for its old Ottoman heritage (for example with the AKP party) and that Turkey has a unique political system. We had and have our own way of dealing with politics and Islam. You will also see why Turkey is a role model for many muslim countries today. I advise all to watch this this documentary, Its long (59 min.), but if you have the time its worth the watch!

This way you can understand Turkey and its culture better.
