The frigate Jean Bart has just spent three months in the Persian Gulf in the Carrier Strike Group One (CSG1) to protect the aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson and control of nearly 4,000 coalition aircraft outbound and return the area of operation of the Levant, as part of the Shamal operation.
The quality of services rendered and its temporal extension, highlighted by the US, the Jean Bart was thus quickly considered part of the battle group. To date, she enrolled as the foreign frigate that was the most present around the Carl Vinson during this deployment.
To welcome this extraordinary integration, both for France than for the United States, Commodore Stuffle, commanding the escort of CSG1 (COMDESRON1), went on board the Jean Bart to assign the Navy Achievement Medal and the Navy Commendation Medal to 40 sailors. Through these awards, it's not just the Jean Bart that US authorities intend to thank, but, more broadly, the Navy and the French armies for the quality of this commitment with them.
Grady Admiral, commanding the CSG1, has sought to emphasize that the French Navy is one of the few marine able to work at the same level as the US Navy in high-intensity operation. Admiral Grady states in its ultimate message to Jean Bart: "Your operational attitude, innovation and can do attitude reflected great credit upon the legacy of the" Jean Bart ", the French Navy and the strength of our longlasting partnership".
Chammal : l’US Navy remercie le Jean Bart

@Peter C @AMDR @KAL-EL If the US let the Jean Bart protecting one of its aircraft carrier,it shows that the US trust in us,our capabilities and it shows our strong partnership, the US won't let a nation that they don't trust in it enough to protect one of its aircraft carrier.
