French boycott Takes momentum in Pakistan!

But I'm curious, why are Palestinians pro-India?
I think for variety of reasons. PLO was a secular force and it gelled with Nehruvian India. And we must keep in mind PLO was the dominant political force amongst Palestinians. In addition Pakistan supported King Hussain when Jordan cracked hard on PLO. There is more but that probably informs most of the bias they have for India.
Pakistani officers who had done heinous acts such as ordering tanks to roll over Palestinian civilians.
Where did you get this dawg? From the rappers in the hood?

What does Pakistan import from France which they will boycott?
I believe Pakistan exports $440 million and imports $420 milliion from France so the trade is slightly in Pakistan's favour.

Arab Secularism died in the 1970s due to the failures of the two Arab-Israeli wars and Gulf Arabs gaining more influence

It's still alive in Syria. And Egypt to some extent. But these two countries are not nearly as influential as in the 1960-1970s.

WTF are you going on about? What did you eat today? Some port sausages? Lives lost? you mean the french intelligence attacking their own people and blaming it on muslims?
Evidence is required for such a claim my friend.

It isn't just Pakistan, much of the Muslim world is going bananas. I'm not particularly clued up with the specifics, it will just be interesting to see where this goes. If it expands enough, we could have another case akin to the 1973 oil crisis (but I'm doubtful, then again, 2020 has been full of unfortunate surprises).

No chance. These speeches and boycotts are for domestic consumption. Truth be told the leadership class couldn't care less. They are nationalists, they look our for national interest, religion has no role there other than window dressing for the uneducated masses of Muslim countries.

Not a single country has expelled diplomats, or banned goods. No arms deals etc cancelled. Nothing strategic has shifted.

1973 was different it was the time of Bhutto, Faisal and Gaddafi. Flawed men, but men of vision.

I agree with most of what you've said. If Pakistan can get something in return and the cost is small, then it's just normal diplomatic maneuver.

But I'm curious, why are Palestinians pro-India?

It may be something to do with staunch Indian support for Palestine when India was in the Soviet camp and Israel in the US camp during the cold war

The rot is centered in Charlie Hebdo.

Yeah I don't really like them or particularly care when they get hurt due to their obnoxious and vulgar cartoons (this extends FAR beyond their blasphemy) as well as the fact that they endanger innocent people when they make them (but continue to do so anyway).

I'm fully aware that Pakistanis love Turkey. That's no problem. But do you base your foreign policy on rational calculation or your emotion about Turkey?

There is an element of all.

There is no emotion, but I guess many Non-Muslims consider religion as emotion.

Turkey is literally on a collision course with the EU, Egypt and many Arab countries, is Pakistan going to do the same?

US puppets vs Turkey, who do you think is a better ally for Pakistan? Which has been more reliable?

But does this mean that Pakistan should be a fan-boy for Turkey at the international stage, no matter what Turkey does?

We are allies and friends. We have links which are religious, philosophical, historic, and cultural which go back more than a thousand years.

Why are you so irked by the relation of two brothers?

The other two are ex-Muslims and confused, but what is your problem?

Does Turkey really have the power to build the fifth Caliphate? No, it's just acting bellicose.

I don’t think Turkey wants to. They have a negative history, however I am sure they would support one from another country.

Supporting Palestine is a different issue. It can be justified by international law. Turkey's actions can't.

Yet the Palestinians support Turkey and Turkish role over Al Aqsa is expanding daily.

And to be honest, I feel like Pakistan IS getting something in return for its support for Turkey.
.

Support for Kashmir and defense ties are only a tip of the iceberg.

But I'm curious, why are Palestinians pro-India?

It is because Pakistan saved Jordan from a PLO coup egged on by Israel.

PLO, Nasser, Sadam, Assad are all pro-USSR Communist-type people, Islam is against their interests.

Pakistan, being an ideological Islamic state,, is a natural enemy.

Most Palestinians like the Imam of Al Aqsa are pro-Pakistan, but they don't hold power.

It has to be complete.

We knew this already, BD gov is compromised.

That's the thing it won't be complete. Who is sticking their neck out like Pakistan? Has KSA, UAE, Indonesia, made a statement? There is a divide in the Muslim world and in such a world BD has the right approach, become self sufficient to the point where your protest will actually impact France.

Will Pakistan's boycott harm French economy? Maybe a little but that damage will be negligible if we're honest with ourselves. But if Pakistan had economic clout it would make a bigger difference. I'm going to agree with BD approach here ie. First Pakistan (or any other Muslim country) become powerful enough that they can actually have an impact on such an insult. The countries that have that ability are doing nothing so why should Pakistan suffer?

That isn't to say they shouldn't boycott. I think the boycott is warranted but the government should not sacrifice well being of the people.

We do it because we love Allah swt and His Prophet saws, nothing else matters.

what others do doesn't matter, what effect it has doesn't matter.
