Twitter has removed nearly 1,000 accounts and suspended thousands of others tied to a campaign by the Chinese government against protesters in Hong Kong, the company announced on Monday.

Twitter disclosed a “significant state-backed information operation” originating from within the People’s Republic of China (PRC) targeting the pro-democracy movement in Hong Kong. It removed 936 accounts and suspended approximately 200,000 accounts its investigation found were illegitimate.

Twitter is not business organisation. You think Twitter will unban those account if Chinese give them billions of dollars? They are a political tools working for US imperial.

China never promote freedom of speeches. It is Twitter and west that claim they do so and yet? So what issue do u have on China? If it's true freedom of speeches promoted by then. Another smart Alec comment. First of all, China require them to comply with China censorship which they failed to do so under the freedom of speeches principle..

Secondly, China is not a hyprocrite like twitter promoting under the banner of freedom of speeches but practice selective speeches. China stance is clear and consistent unlike some who cannot never be trusted and acting like double headed snake that is ready to go back on words when promise to others.
