Free contraception by Sindh government - A good idea?

Go to Indonesia and clinics in every neighbourhood; the results are visible in terms of lower population growth and control over stds. I dont know what are the HIV rates in Pak if at all even being checked given the high intervenous drug use - hep C is already a pandemic there and HIV always goes hand in hand.

It is very good, if it doesn't have huge amount of corruption behind it.
No one stopped them to make clinics to give contraception advice or provide free contraception.
It is just that people don't like to see it on TV or talk in open.
But I think they don't deny if any government start this initiative.
But it is all money making ventures. Nothing more....

Not sure of who is who in your country so I cannot draw parallels; except we have a president here who raped a woman who was hIV+ and then went had a shower - if that shows the ignorance and put behind decade worth of work in the public. Finally he will be out and most likely get behind bars.

Here is the thing, unless it is educated, it wont work. For example, i am saying this because we saw it here; HIV/AIDs spreading like fire across our entire region over 25 years and noone wanted to talk about it. I give credit to our religious leaders - all faiths who brought it up as part of sermons - this includes our local mosque's imam. It is nothing to be shyed away. All church leaders took it up as a cause. My late friend an imam funded local HIV training, testing clinic in our areas - Jamal said 'we all want to combat injustice and evil, and this is a fight against a disease which has no face'. fortunately in our country, imams from Cape Province are very very progressive and educated who are willing to take these topics headon. This is the same dear friend who took aid convey of 5 trucks into Rwanda right after the genocide when noone was going in; same in Bosnia.
Corruption yes, finally house is being cleaned up here but it is going to be a long way; until we see the transplanted Indians - Guptas behind bars plus President in transit and his family behind bars for stealing blindly not to mention all politicians in on the take. New day is definitely starting in our country.
