KSA and the GCC own enormous assets in the West on various fronts. Only ignorant idiots believe that it is a one-way relationship.

KSA and the GCC own the largest sovereign wealth funds on the planet. Worth over 3 trillion dollars. KSA and the GCC are the largest surplus nations in the world as well.

Regarding the military sector you will see the results in the near future. All a work in progress. Rome was not built in one day.

For now any party foolish enough to as much as touch the GCC will think more than twice before they will do so to put it mildly. You should not worry about us. Worry about the average Muslim nation instead. Not the top dogs.

You are ignorant about the arms industry in the GCC or the current or future plans. All I have to say on this front. Also it makes no sense to compare a country that is depended on financial support/close partners for its main military purchases and a country of almost 100 million people with extremely cheap labor to the GCC. Lastly dude, why are you writing your posts like this?

Are you afraid that we won't read them?

ugh , don't change the topic about how i write my posts , i like this kind of writing , anyway , ok let's make it small :D..

Actually i'm aware of arms industry in GCC , even the recent deal with Canada for like 12 billion $ for LAV vehicles :D

You make some good valid points. However, at the end of the day, Its KSA who is Egypt's current leaders main backer/finance. So we can say KSA is like Egypt's Patron since Sisi took power. Though its true Egypt does try and license build some military equipment it purchase from western countries/Russia and China. At the end of the day, Its the Saudis who still influence Egypt not otherwise. Call it the power of Money(and religion) all you want, but that's how things are.:D

KSA and the GCC are the most influential, richest and powerful Arab/Muslim country. This is no secret. Egypt has almost always been a very close ally. It's a neighbor after all.

Several deals that KSA have agreed upon include local manufacturing on a wide range of fields. Anyone is free to google this topic after all. To make an example KSA is manufacturing F-15SA wings locally and other components.

Much, much more will follow in the future. This is inevitable. KSA is secretive on this front anyway like on most others. Not like the Mullah's next door and their desperate photoshop.

HOOO , you don't follow the recent changes here and i thought english people follow Egypt news LOL , my mistake :D... Sisi just used gulf countries to reach what he wants , taking power .. During the previous saudi king era , the relation between sisi and gulf were good .. but when Salman reached to the throne everything has changed , you heard the leaks of Sisi phone calls? how he describe gulf countries? if you didn't then you must hear it even thought i doubt you know Arabic :D just look at the Egyptian media how they name and call the new king? look at protests against Yemen war in Cairo which was approved by the Egyptian Police

Anyway , Sisi support Russian intervention in Syria unlike saudis whom are against it .. that's why the Arabian army project was stopped , Because Saudis wanna use it in Syria and Sisi doesn't want... don't let the 4 Egyptian F-16 or some troops in Yemen fool you , Sisi just want to return the favor for Saudi because of billions he used during and after the coup.

Do you really think that KSA/GCC gave anything to Al-Sisi for "free". No such thing exists. We are talking about favorable loans at most in return for we all know what.

The relations are still good. A few differences in regards to Syria won't change that. Al-Sisi does not support Al-Assad. Find me a single quote from him where he says that Al-Assad should remain in power.

Egyptian media is not to be taken seriously (every Arab knows this) and there are 90 million different opinions in Egypt.

Nor will a few Yemenis protesting in Cairo change anything.

A joint Arab army will see its day sooner rather than latter too.

Anyway I am not sure why you are so anti-SISI when we all know that the military would rule Egypt regardless like it has been doing since the monarchy was abolished.

I hate el sisi because he is a fag haha , no seriously i hate him because i wanted a modern Egypt , developed and i know no such thing happened since 1952 or will happen as long as Army rules Egypt .. there was a good chance with Morsi but once again Gulf countries and kings feared the spread of revolutions to their countries , plus they feared Egypt will lead the Region again , Alliance between Erdogan and Morsi will change everything , Muslim Brotherhood Governments in Turkey+Egypt+Libya+Tunisia+Morocco+Gaza+Sudan = Danger to Gulf and Israel.

I don't support MB because they did big mistakes , but at least they are better than army rulers.

Hint: they weren't Yemenis but Egyptians, as foreigners not allowed to protest in Egypt .. and you can see Security behind them.

Seriously, all of our rulers in the Arab and Muslim world with a few exceptions are largely poor but if we are to be brutally honest our people deserve such rulers.

Until we grow a pair of balls and confront our ills and correct them nothing will change. The Arab world/MENA region/call it what you want, has the potential to once again play a leading role in the world like it did for millenniums. Arguably more than any other region throughout recorded human history.

Are you sure because I swear that those 5-10 protestors look like Yemenis.

MB movements are seriously nothing to aspire too. MB Egyptians that were welcomed to KSA by King Faisal in the 1960's and 1970's when they were expelled by Gamal Abdel Nasser did so much harm in KSA that you won't believe it. The country is still struggling with their legacy.

I don't belong to any movement or support any particular movement. All I support is social, political and economic prosperity in the Arab world and for greater cooperation between the people and nations. I think that democracy, it already exists in Tunisia, Lebanon etc. will eventually be developed locally but it will take some time and the rulers will have to help this process but so far most are not doing that or VERY slowly.

The mentality of the people also has to change but the youth is not like the old generation, at least not in the GCC. So that is positive news although the longer we see the status quo the bigger is the risk of them becoming exactly like the old generation. So the process should be speeded up. The unrest currently does not help that.

The Arab Spring or as I know call it, the Arab Winter, has given them renewed arsenal in preventing social and political progress by using the "terror" excuse. Now anyone that is not a fan of status quo is a terrorist in every Arab country.

You might agree with this video.

Anyway got to hit the bed.

Where did you get the idea that majority of immigrants live off welfare dude?

In the UK, we are actually more highly educated than the natives.

Yeah probably in UK.
But i wasnt talking about UK.
It is nor the same situation everywhere.

Even if(weall know its not the case) France greatest achievement was by a so called Muslim. Where is one of the most Islamic countries in the world today? Yes im talking about your country Pakistan. lol The very fact that hundreds of thousands (if not millions) of your people are running away from your country to go and work trivial/slave jobs in Gulf states(and for those who can afford it to the west) is prove enough of how pathetic your country is and how your leaders have all failed you(it seems to be getting worse not better. lol).

Well the Brits were bastards & destroyed my country .
Everywhere you have gone you've Stole,Murdered,destroyed .

WTF is this Pakistani on about @Gabriel92 ? A Pakistani laughing at France and saying who wants to be French? JESUS CHRIST wonder shall never end.

Many of your country men will die to be given asylum in France, they will even risk their whole life crossing the ocean for that.:taz: PAKISTAN SHOULD BE THE LAST COUNTRY ON PLANET EARTH TO MAKE FUN OF ANOTHER COUNTRY(much less of a developed advanced industrial power like France). The simple fact that France has been one of your major arms supplier, you should be thankful/grateful to them, since you and other south Asian countries are all basically consumers. while France is a major exporter/builder and an established world power with high living standards. Your Mirage fighter which you are proud of are made by France, your daphne class submarines and the submarine technology transfer of the Agosta class is still done by France and many others. Its a huge joke seeing someone from an underdeveloped backward country like Pakistan making fun of France.:disagree:

You really need a reality check, something definitely wrong.

You really are brain dead asking me a question that you chose:rofl: :partay:.
Didn't Beg for the weapons Payed for them
:partay:

I don't think you can understand your own English language properly or you cant read ,side stepping every answer & just spouting rubbish .
Asking a Question with a Question :rofl::partay:

.
Congrats to France and Saudi Arabia.
This deal is win win for both.

Right now ISRO's priority is make communications satellites for Indian Armed forces but once our constellation is in place, ISRO should look to market its satellites to friendly foreign countries like Saudi Arabia.
India is at par with cutting edge technology in the sphere of satellites.

.
You cant imagine. That one made me laugh even more.lool
Anyway lets get back to topic, seems we all went off because of that one Pakistani troll who started with religious stuffs.

Saudis, French To Discuss Satellite, Patrol Boat Sales
By Pierre Tran1:22 p.m. EDT October 14, 2015

PARIS — Riyadh will open talks to buy French spy and communications satellites, patrol boats, and the setting up of a naval research center and a working group to study future naval projects, Saudi Arabia and France said in a joint statement Tuesday.

The projects were part of civil and military agreements announced following a visit to Saudi Arabia by French Prime Minister Manuel Valls and Defense Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian.

There are hopes in France the naval study will eventually lead to a Saudi order for four multimission frigates, a deal dubbed Sawari 3, but there also is uncertainty whether such a large warship is needed in the Red Sea when patrol boats might be more fitting for this kind of narrow naval zone.

Such a range of deals, particularly the military satellites, is “very important” as it will establish a long-term relationship with training and upgrades that could span some 20 years, a Middle East defense specialist said. There will also be cooperation on renewable energy work between the respective nuclear agencies.

With intense combat in Yemen, there is strong interest among the Arab Gulf nations to acquire equipment and capabilities.

On the prospective satellite deal, Airbus Defence and Space and Thales Alenia Space have teamed up to make a joint offer of two observation and two telecommunications satellites, website La Tribune reported. That exclusive deal comes after stiff competition, notably from US industry.

Airbus declined comment.

Such a space deal reflects Saudi Arabia’s determination to have its own satellite fleet following the US$930 million acquisition by the United Arab Emirates of two spy satellites under the Falcon Eye program, a defense specialist said. The Saudi deal could be worth some $2 billion.

Negotiations for supplying fast patrol boats for the Saudi Navy will close by the end of the year, the joint statement said.

The Saudi deal worth $600 million for 30 patrol boats of 30 meters has drawn rival bids from Construction Mecanique de Normandie, Couach, DCNS and Ocea, La Tribune reported.

Among the deals signed was a cooperation agreement between DCNS and King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology to set up a naval research center. Research into the tides, rust from seawater and robotics are among the research areas, a spokesman for the naval systems company said. Greater cooperation on military exercises and training, and negotiations for cooperation in science and technology, also were in the overall agreement.

Saudi Arabia has been a longstanding leading client for French arms, with DCNS and Thales holding key positions in naval and missile sectors.

On the naval side, Riyadh bought US warships to patrol the Arabian Gulf, while France delivered Georges Leygues- and Lafayette-class frigates, respectively, under the Sawari 1 and 2 contracts, for the Red Sea.

Money well spent at least. Hope we can get more contracts than the French who seem to be trying to outbid us everywhere these days.:argh:
