Foxconn nears deal to build iPhones in India: Report

It could only be for the Indian market but theoretically speaking China is the largest exporter of electronic components and has the largest infrastructure and work force to support such industry. I have used some made in india circuits before and they were utter rubbish..not buying Made in India again!

Earlier a Reuters report too had claimed that Foxconn is looking at manufacturingiPads and iPods in India, for both local and international sales. Maharashtra industry minister Subhash Desai too had shared details on Foxconn's interest in the region.

Apple doesn't have a problem with made in India. But you do o_O

.
Can we keep the topic at foxconn, apple and india.
Farmers and agriculture is not at all relevant here.

.
Apple .... forget it.
Taiwan , please get Asus set up a plant here in India. If you can do that in Mexico and Czech Republic , then India has a bigger market.

And Asus does delivers much more above its weight. And costs less too.

wow @jamahir got banned somehow :P

First time ive seen that lol.

So this will be an assembly plant with some electronic manufacture integration from other Indian suppliers....but the OEM chipset will be probably imported from China correct? (at least till Indian chipset manufacturing comes online in a year or two)

I have used some made in pakistan circuits before, and they were... wait what!:cheesy: The only made in Pakistan thing that I have ever seen in markets and used was a toilet mat set, and to be fair it was pretty decent. I will buy Made in Pakistan again, as long as they stick to their expertise in making toilet mats.

Stop being so butthurt all the time. tsk tsk

have to say to you:

Relax! rants on forums are meaningless.

India(Indian companies) produces a wide variety of goods that is exported throughout the world. If you did not like the product, don't buy it. It's that simple. Meanwhile other companies will continue to invest in manufacturing in India. Get with the plan!

I have eaten some Pakistani mangos....they were pretty good but nothing great. There have been some better ones coming in lately I guess as they are able to export more now.

The Pakistani achaar I get here I would buy (and compare with Indian) if didnt come in a plastic container. I dont want plastic chemicals leaching into the pickle acid thank you very much. Someone should tell Pakistanis this basic RnD idea :D. Otherwise their pricepoint is quite fair on that too.

Pakistan textiles used to be out there in fair number, now hard to find beyond some knick knacks at low end and maybe a few very high end stuff like carpets that I have no need for.

Ahhhh!!! was wondering about that my self:) thought he was using some other nom de plume.

One of the many secondary phones i have is an asus zen 2 with 4gb ram , but it comes filled with bloatware and is just not in my opinion better then say a nexus 6p . Though i still use an apple and a s6 as my primary drivers and a bb classic for other work .
Nothing beats an apple , it does not hang , it lasts , and above all its an apple:)

Rooting the phone would null the warranty , but as you said for a student its a good one.

What do you mean by new name. Do you think I have time to create multiple accounts. I am neither here for intelligence gathering nor propaganda. The day I get banned that would be my last post on this forum.

On what basis did you come to the conclusion that dadeechi is incorrect and dadhichi is correct?

How about

Srinivas or Sreenivas
Murthy or Moorthy
Gita or Geetha

It's like are arguing that Jean, Johann, Joan & Jan are incorrect and John is the correct spelling.

At the end the of the day it is a proper noun and it can be spelled as per one's desire.

Many people spell it just like I did.

Oh dear.

Someone is in a temper. Let's take a look, then:

On what basis did you come to the conclusion that dadeechi is incorrect and dadhichi is correct?

Based on the Sanskrit spelling: it has a 'dh', which is different from a 'd', and it has only short 'i's, not a long one as your version has it.

How about

Srinivas or Sreenivas /The correct transliteration from the original is Sreenivas, due to it having a long 'i'.
Murthy or Moorthy/The correct form, again, is Moorthy, although 'th' is not equivalent to a dental 't'; there is only the obsolete thorn alphabet in English to represent that 't'.
Gita or Geetha/ Geetha - the original has a long 'i'.

Unfortunately, any transliteration from the Latin alphabet is an approximation, as that alphabet does not have all the sounds of 'nagari', just as 'nagari' itself does not have all the sounds of Latin.

It's like are arguing that Jean, Johann, Joan & Jan are incorrect and John is the correct spelling.
Very surprising argument: Jean is the French (and Basque and Walloon) form, Johann is from various Germanic languages, including German, Dutch, Swiss-German, Austrian-German, Danish, Swedish and Norwegian (also Icelandic), Joan is from Spanish and Jan from the Czech and Magyar. None of these are incorrect, they are variants from entirely different languages.

At the end the of the day it is a proper noun and it can be spelled as per one's desire.

No. Not if it represents an historical name; you cannot spell Minerva 'Minerwa' and claim that it is the same.
