Fourteenth Amendment to the Constitution of Pakistan, root of all present and future evils!

Sarcasm looks nice only when it fits not when its a misfit...
Like they say better late than never....

Plus it was YOU who called it hot air so you got something wrong with your physics there

@Syed.Ali.Haider

What sarcasm? I replied to your comment quite seriously. :D

My understanding is spot on. The most blatant violator of the Constitution is the Army, to the everlasting detriment of the country.

Or may be the judiciary who always put a validation stamp on military rule under the doctrine of necessity

. . .
Well that is the moment which always change the course of the history. :D

Yes, we can see how well being held at gunpoint multiple times in its history has worked out so well for Pakistan as a whole.

Well, it reminds me a quote of well respected former SC judge Mr Durrab Patel who once said that ''when whole nation celebrates the military takeover on the streets then you can not expect that few judges sitting in their chamber will stop the military takeover with their pen''.

Ah yes, our nation is fickle. It distributes sweets at any change of government, legal or illegal, and soon thereafter is out on the streets protesting. No patience at all for proper institutions to take root, but we want the results anyway.

Hassan Nisar once said that people of Pakistan welcomed military coups because our political leaders had been so corrupt and disconnected with their electorate prior to coup, that for the masses, a disciplined military leader was always a far better choice than ANY elected official :D

Agreed but tragedy is Military ruler can not govern the country properly either.

Yes, We are strange nation. Some time it feels that neither we want democracy nor a military ruler.:D

Hassan Nisar also said that tragedy of our nation is such that while a military leader who comes after a coup always try to become a democrat (Zia, Musharraf), civilian leader who comes after rigged elections always try to become a dictator (Zulfiqar Bhutto, Nawaz). o_O

This is in my opinion, also the real tragedy of Pakistan.

Yes, that way every dictator brings own version of democracy, make a new party and go after the election. Problem for them is, It is easy to takeover but getting out is always become a big problem for them.

. . .
We just want all the rewards without working hard for them. That is the real problem, not the rulers.
You are pro-evolution, I know. But problems in Pakistan are so deeply rooted in the political system, that even if we had these so-called democratic elections every 5 years for the next century, nothing substantial would come out of it. 5 years of PPP government only regressed Pakistan to even worse state than it was where Musharraf left.
