Former Saudi consultant reveals a plan to establish 'Great Kurdistan'

I don't care about these guys who have no influence to change the map of middle east.
Ofcourse they can't change the map of Turkey and Iran both countries are too strong for to be disintegrated by insurgency.

But are they going to support PKK/PJAK terrorists and cause trouble for us....since there is no way that Turkey would give land (same with the Iran)

If you look at it like that Ottomans shouldn't have lost any land to Arabs, Greeks, Bulgarians, etc since their armies were too weak compared to Ottoman Army. With foreign support and timing weaker armies can be a threat. Nobody has the army to strike at Turkey but I wouldn't say the same about Iran. They are preparing to start new rounds of conflicts in the region. The next coming war is the Iran war. They are already preparing the public for it. If you look at Syria you can see how it will play out. The US says they don't want a no fly zone but they created no fly zone for Kurds. They can do the same in Iran. Create no fly zone for Kurds and give endless air support for them to give them the upper hand. Let the Kurds carry out ethnic cleansing and letting the media only show what they want you to see.

Yes and surprising thing is that Erdogan worked/works with them on many occasions. He even made anti-houthi remarks. The power gap left in Syria was a good opportunity for YPG (Syrian PKK). This wrong and confused strategy of Erdogan will bring his own proposed peace initiative in Danger.

I do see more threat in ISIS than PKK from Iranian point of view and I'm actually happy that they are defeating ISIS in some areas and hopefully they will even touch Raqqa. Also I don't think they can form a threat towards Iran.. here I'm talking about PKK.
The reality is that they originated from Turkish Kurdistan and are ethnically and linguistically mostly related to Syrian and Turkish Kurds than Iranians Kurds. One time they tried stupid things in Iran by creating a "franchise" in Iran named PJAK, we destroyed them.

i think they can if something happen defend their land or the land that they claim to be their right it is never easy for any army to fight in these situations just like what happened in iraq afganstan and syria
fighting a hit and run gorilla war is one thing but defeating a regular and trained army and capturing land is another thing altogether which is way beyond the capacity of Peshmerga, unless it has a support of another regular army.
Iraq is bad example because its military was disbanded by the occupation forces and they left a deeply divided, untrained , ill-disciplined and disloyal Iraqi force that has lost to ISIS. Syria also is unfair example because FSA and ISIS have enjoyed the support of Israel, turkey, West, KSA, UAE etc hence lost some part of the country.

you forgot our east Pakistan (now Bangladesh) the insurgency was supported by Indians and in the end they invaded and beat the Pakistani forces made alien in their own country.

such thing will NEVER ever happen to Turkey because its a NATO country as well and although it wont need help from other NATO country to deal with some Kurdish terrorists but if some Arab Middle eastern country plays with the idea of redoing what its descendants did to Ottoman empire then NATO will also come in force to teach them a lesson.
already the west is fed up with some Arab monarchies for playing the role of AQ and ISIS funding and pretending to be Western "allies" as well

.
i dont think they would think about any land unless it is majority kurds
kurds have acted like this:
they come to lands and over populate them. then they claim it is kurd .
no matter the lands were habited by lot of different civilizations and ethnics . no problem for them , so much they are completely stubborn with being "superior" (a bit like persians)

kurds have support from isreal and right now western media are making them look like heroes in the conflict with isil maybe the west have something in mind for kurds in the future but in the same time the west cant lose turkey they want to put turkey in front of the cannon with russia so it will be interesting to see what will happen in the future
about west relations with GCC i see no sign that there is any trouble

you know ever since i was a kid i hear about trouble with kurds i wonder what started all this why do they want to have their own country why are they willing to fight and die to do so

agree that Peshmerga have been immortalised as romantic worriers fighting for humanity, freedom and all that. they have western military advisor's and volunteers among them , and maybe there is some Israeli support as well.
but this all CANT be at the expense of Turkey, its still a NATO member

The only reason Turkey is a NATO member is like Mohammad said, because it's closer to Russia and the West planning to make it a battle ground in case a conflict with Russia erupts, if the West really cared about the Turks they would've been a EU nation already but it didn't happen despite the Turks continues begging.

Soviets threatened Turkey and demanded parts of Turkey to be ceded to the Soviet Union. That is why we joined NATO. It was mutual interest. Today NATO can be a risk because it drag Turkey into an European war but we can always VETO anything in NATO and not drag ourselves in the war. So it is not black and white. People should know when to shut up and when to talk if they are not informed.

Turkey is not begging, it is Greece that is begging and is a humiliation despite being an EU member.
some members of EU put some economic conditions on Turkey which it fulfilled but main reason for reluctance by the Nordic countries was its Muslim population and its affect on EU population, despite claiming to be non-religious and secular they do have different standards when it comes to Muslims.

SO, the problem was NOT with Turkey but some racist little countries in EU. before mocking Turkey do remember that ISIS and your Al Nushrah would have had no successes in Syria had it not been Turkey offering all the helps to the rebels against Asad. even without being an Arab GCC member, Turkey became a host and battle ground for Arabian war games in the middle east. the least you can do is Not insult Turkey if you cant appreciate its support re war against Asad regime.

.
I doubt the current rulers in Arabia will live out their lives in power. Times are changing. Fire spreads.

.
You don't just need to fulfil economic conditions to join the EU. There's no way European countries would agree to Turkey joining the EU without having solved the issue with Cyprus first.

There's no way European countries would agree to Turkey joining the EU without having solved the issue with Cyprus first.
And After Cyprus, they would say recognize the territorial waters of Greece.
After that, they would say recognize the so called Armenian genocide, give land to Armenia
After that, they would say give half of your country to Kurds.
After fulfilling all of the conditions France would say.... i'm gonna make a referendum about your membership.
After the referendum France says "We asked our people, the said no. You can't into EU"
Hollande says Turkey's EU bid will be put to referendum | i24news - See beyond

We keep saying that there is no way that Turkey is going to be an EU state, it's impossible and that's why Turkey is not making any progress towards EU for years.
Ankara to return EP report on Turkey: Turkish EU Minister - DIPLOMACY

Not surprised, Saudi Arabia is our pet and if I remember correctly The Pentagon said it would be OK with a Kurdistan. IMO I would rather see Arab monarchies in turmoil and a guillotine for each royalty (minus the children), than another Republic being destroyed.
