I think the title of this thread is misleading. I just finished watching it and the guy sounded weird to be honest, the least diplomatic responses I have ever seen in an interview. You could clearly see his mind was getting blank frequently.

Made me miss General Musharraf !

He stuttered a lot, let her attack him too much - ignorant Western viewers can misinterpret and twist his statements too easily. Otherwise, he spoke very well, its just my opinion that he shouldn't have been so blunt and direct, these kinds of things need to be sugar-coated for a Western audience.

I'm not saying he should've lied or concealed the truth, just that he should have added some more layman's explanation about the situation - he discussed it as if the interviewer and viewers were well informed people with an understanding of the situation and not westerners.

OK I watched it using a VPN.

1) Nobody owned anyone, so the headline is quite amusing but hardly surprising. He was asked some questions as interviewers usually do and he answered them to the best of his knowledge and ability.

2) He just reiterated Pakistan's duplicity in dealing terrorism and how it still follows a good terrorist/bad terrorist scheme. Everyone knows that, again no surprises there.

Yes, why going gung ho on mere opinion? Has he provided with some kind of proof? This sorry souls is retired from the Army for more than 20 years and is as clueless as any ordinary person would be. Even he has clearly mentioned that this is just his opinion yet terrorist Hindutva- apologist brigade is drawing conclusion as if it was him who was in-charge of Bin-Laden. I wrote earlier he is attention seeker only spy masters and field officers are given importance until their last breath but no DG has knowledge about ISI after he leaves office but during office they are not told to much,because peoples over there know about scums like durrani,so no spy masters or field officer will open his mouth in public and other then that no one has knowledge of ISI,even no one here will be able to tell you even about selection process all assumptions regarding ISI are based on scums like him or Indian and western media which can not be trusted at all..

Th 1st principle of intel agencies is to zip your lips, I have seen numerous Chiefs of ISI who keep crowing about their ' accomplishments' thus compromising their agency & nation & reinforcing world opinion about them.

In light of the above, its hardly surprising Obama chose not to visit Pakistan.
