How China's East is Helping the West in the Nujiang Valley of Yunnan
There's a brand new community that has been built in a remote valley in the Nujiang List Autonomous Prefecture of Yunnan Province. It's called the Zhuhai Community. That's because the city of Zhuhai in Guangdong Province helped to build this community. If you don't already know, Zhuhai is very, very, very far away from Yunnan. But this is an example of how richer cities in the east of China are helping poorer regions in the west to escape poverty. I decided to go down into the valley and explore this new community.
