First They Ban PIA Now EU Asking For It's Help !

People are not getting the point OP is trying to make. As a nation we need to have self respect and not be quickly available like a loyal chauffeur whenever the white man needs help. Our inferiority complex ridden brown sahabs in bureaucracy and militaty arw the mental slaves n always tabedaar of the white man. Atleast act as equals and on equal footing. Take assurances, relaxations, business deals before helping these hypocrites. Or be brave n tell them to **** off.

I’m not even going to bother engaging to you over this, because unlike you I’m actually in the industry.
Good for you.....I'm not claiming to be an expert on the matter however, people who were discussing the accident were also from the industry like former Concorde pilot, John Hutchison.

Meanwhile in the case of PIA8303 the captain came in too fast didn’t put out the landing gear(wheels) landed on the engine pods, took off again but because the engines were damaged by the earlier landing attempt the plane stalled and crashed into the neighborhood.
Adding to above, the final mistake was to lower the landing gear on second attempt. This caused additional drag to the aircraft which was already without power while on final approach. My feeling is that they might had made it to the runway had crew tried belly landing instead.

The reason they asked PIA to fly them out of Kabul is because there’s no refueling available for commercial aircraft at Kabul, and planes flying long haul won’t have enough fuel to fly back.

Meanwhile it’s only a 30 min flight from ISB to Kabul meaning PIA can safely carry the needed fuel and reserves thus making the flights safer for everyone.

Not everything is some conspiracy against Pakistan, the EU could have easily asked Qatar for assistance instead they are giving PIA this opportunity to cash in massively.

So instead of whining and winging online let’s support the brave crews of PIA who are making Pakistan and humanity proud.

P.S PIA is the only airline operating out of Kabul with 3 flights daily for the past few days.

Oh yeah EU are so kind. Giving PIA an opportunity. You are a genius

These white know-it-alls wanted us to help them too, Biman Bangladesh outright refused..

They can clean up their own mess..

we should keep the condition of restoring our status to operate in EU to do their dirty job right now, but i dont think we have anyone capable or who cares in aviation ministry to do so

PIA ban was well deserved and a long time in coming. Still some people are in denial. As far as evac goes, Pakistan has no real choice in the matter. The Pakistan government can just as well use C-130s to evacuate from Kabul as well but are choosing to use PIA for the shorthaul flight. The reason why Pakistan has no choice is that if say Spain, Italy or Germany asks for Pakistan's help and we refuse, watch what happens to your trade with EU.

I'm not disputing that, this week I was watching a new documentary on the Concorde crash.
All the evidence now points to pilot error as he seems to have veered off line while taking off and hitting some runway lights.....so pilot errors do happen....PIA is no exception.
Pretty sure Concorde pilots did not have fraudulent licenses did they? So why the comparison to PIA which has a rich history of not being as being proactive about safety. Sorry but defending PIA means risking the lives of hundreds so until they get their stuff together they should face the punishment like any other airline would.

Why don't you read the actual Accident investigation report instead,

They can refuel at ISB, or LHR, or Khi

Personally, I would NOT fly PIA even if they offer half price tickets.

Since local Pakistanis and tandooris from UK don't know how institutionalized world functions, any rubbish can be thrown out here with a personal twist.

Ban on PIA is for not following rules and regulations, what ever those may be.
PIA always have a choice to comply and reapply, which PIA has done few times in it's history, but not seemingly interested any more.

Now this evacuation do not automatically grant PIA exemption over EU flying and safety related rules and regulations.

If people are thinking Prerogative of German ambassador, he /she shall know in EU, PM or president can't give dictation to state employees.
Flying with the PIA is like sitting in a plastic box. Not very reassuring.
Flying with PIA is like promoting corruption and empowering corrupt.
I also understand, travelers to and from Pakistanis have little choice, so they would fly irrespective.

PIA’s ban was fair aviation is a 0 tolerance industry.
In late summer 2020, I was sent to Dubai on a deployment to support the FAA qual for a B737 Max FFS. Having spoken to a civil aviation inspector of the UAE, who is ex-PAF, it comes to no surprise on why PIA has been banned to Europe. They are even lucky to be operating somewhat to the Middle East for now.

And in terms of dubious licenses, what was even more shocking to hear a few ex-PAF pilots amongst them. This criticism and ban is simple with respect to safety, and there was a time when it was one of the best airlines in the world.

Once they have their affairs sorted out, then they'd be fine to operate easily to European countries.
