BD have no hostilities with India, why need subs then? But to have capability BD should have gone with better subs even from china Song upgraded one would have been better option. Why not asked India or Russia to sale a kilo class sub?

A crew and technicians were already training in Turkey when India imposed a stooge on us. This project along with acquiring F-16s from turkey and a Bde of MTBs from China was shelved - although one regt of MTBs had come in meanwhile.

Sorry to say this but Bangladesh was to be made anyway go deep into history before 1947 Partition, learn about it, It is important to know for many today Bengalis and Pakistani's that if Bangladesh would not have accepted Pakistan as their country and stayed independent state. They would have faced the same fate as Hyderabadis or Kashmiris. If the Quaid was alive, he maybe would have made East Pakistan a separate country later on or maybe convinced them to live with us but we lost the great leader very soon due to which many important decisions could not be addressed by him.

Note: If everything even after getting independence would have been the Quaid's way, we wouldn't be fighting for Kashmiris right today but rather Kashmir would have been the fifth province of Pakistan and we maybe would be today fighting for Hyderabad or Punjab lands which we were deprived of. Alas the deteriorating condition of Quaid and his team which was not much up to the mark to fulfil his vision has us in present disputes.

The issue was the system adopted was not sufficient for combined Pakistan because it was first country which had 2 big areas far from each other, so special care should have been given to create administrative structure.

But according to Todd lindberg classification of naval strength Pakistan navy is rated a 4 which qualifies it as a blue water navy while India is rated a 3....

Bangladesh is rated a 5 currently with limited blue water capability....


The sensors and electronics were upgraded... noise further reduced, not so much is disclosed about them but they have been reported to be able to track surface and submerged targets and attack them...

It was also reported earlier that the 203 million $ were in part for upgrade works of certain unidentified parts of the boat!

PN is not Blue water Navy they are working to become Green Water Navy in future.

Pakistan would have without any doubt developed both sides equally and strongly if we were very stable immediately after Partition but the reality is we were hardly able to accommodate the refugees hence the most logical thing at that time was to develop that part more which has more resources(West Pakistan) and then the least resourceful area(East Pakistan) so special care to create administrative structure could not be made and the indians exploited this weakness of Pakistan in the most beneficial way they could

A loose Federation system in which both parts having respective assembly and PM / Chancellor for looking internal matter of respective part should had been adopted, while for federation join senate with equal members from both sides should had been adopted having President and Vice President with rotating membership from both sides.

These subs aren't latest and greatest. But certainly not bad. It's good.
We're in review talks with South Korea and Germany together besides Russia and china for new submarine. We are also reviewing Turkish design. Currently funds for new sub orders are being assimilated. After the fighter purchases. You can expect the order going right up in full swing. Now army and Air Force is going to get the special treatment.
