Full image, clear differences between blk 3 and B version. Ruby in the background.

I never claimed it to be new. Only if you had read the first post carefully.
I have to agree in regard to different Nose shape and what if it appears to be PAF B Model as said; could be different than others need.

Also, Block-III wouldn't be much different than B model so it is safe to assume that we are actually looking at a test bed for single seat JF-17 Block-III. A test bed to check several inputs/responses from hardware to software.

Is this the surprise (B model) which madam @messiach talking about ?? Is this madam?

There are two different B models. One with Pitot Tubes, other without (pointed out by a member in an earlier discussion). Why are senior members spreading misinformation?
Old pictures being circulated around with false claims. Once rolled out at Chengdu, it'll undergo flight tests before shipped to Pakistan.

I don't understand why an entire thread needs to be dedicated to a fantasy. A total of 3 Block 2Bs were made and the pic is potentially showing the third one. From the visible portion, the aircraft in the background looks exactly the same as the one in the foreground. What we do know is that Block 3 required the entire nose section to be redesigned. That would imply a thorough cycle of wind tunnel testing, updating the control software and balancing the aerodynamic. All of this could not happen at the same time as Block B. Second, we know that 'electromechanical components of Block 3 were recently sent to the factory'. This is clear indication that the aircraft in the picture is not Block 3.

What IS possible is that the actual Block 3 has ran into delays, and title holders on the forum are being used to condition everyone to accept Block B as Block 3.

Fairly certain this is just another JF-17B, possibly with minor tweaks.

JF-17 Block III prototype will almost certainly be first built and tested in China.

Like PAF is being run by Title Holders on the Forum?

A discussion can clarify much of confusion hence, topics are encouraged to discuss. If it wasn't brought to the knowledge, wouldn't be proven otherwise or will never make it to the public. Nobody throws any claim as such like a gospel. We are discussing every possibility which leads to more information & knowledge. This one is not JF-17 Block-III but something, at least for me, came out of this which appears to be PAF JF-17B due to difference in Nose Section as compare to Myanmar B model.

However, thread will be merged with existence topic after discussion.

It's a B. There's a slight illusion caused by the open doors under the front fuselage, making it look more sleek.

No its not,

Pay attention, the spines of both are different.. Also, notice the canopy cover behind the B model ;)

Here is the dual seat, notice the extended cockpit and fatter front nose..

JF-17B_1707.jpg

- The cockpit is slanted like the dual seater, but can house one pilot.

- The nose is clearly different, reminiscent of the f-16 as it gets narrower at the front which is not the case with the dual seat version

Compare both and see the differences
