I'm still sure, we see the Block 3 prototype not earlier than August (maybe a first glimpse at the factory) ... all reliable reports hint to that or even a later date for a roll-out and maiden flight close to year's end.

Also it looks so much blurred. IMO yet another attempt to fool us.

Reportedly said to make first flight in August but we all know the story with JF-17B.


Standard JF-17's intakes are slightly ahead of LERX.

With this pic we can't really determine that maybe its just the blurriness that makes the lerx look a little different.
But whats it with the leaked images they're always so blurry?

Congratulations on this achievement! I wish all the best for the bright future for PAF and Pakistani Nation for this achievement. PAF worked v hard, they deserve it and more bad news for our enemies specially INDIA.

It seem it is inspired from F 16 XL project, this modification would give JF 17 a substantial increase in payload, range and speed.

The Intake and under belly looked blotted. May be to increase the payload.

Definitely not a F-16, picture shows got two intakes. Best guess is JF-17 from its shape but those intakes look weird, but picture is too blurred.

As long as block2 keep rolling doesn't matter
Remember in absence of more f16s(known since 2011) any other jet and rafales..at least some improvement in range/payload/engine is crucial for block3..issue is cost..i will argue it will always be cheaper to maximize the block3 rather than going for new plateform just like the sweds did with gripen
